Inb4 they turn it into a full retail game and say they added tons of reused content.

Info

I was hoping the announcement would be a reboot or a remake on a new engine of 1/2 combined, that would be pretty glorious.

If you wonder why I am butthurt, HEAVY SR3 and SR2 spoilers

Another DLC made into a game? This franchase is slowly dying. Its sad rly,the second and third game was pretty good.

Honestly third one was where it lost its shit, 2nd was the best and I really hoped three would have continued in the same way, a mix of (Spoilers)smart serious and funny

Still I had fun with 3, it just was a let down on most things, including the snore fest city that was reused in 4....

I only played 2 hrs of the second, the pc port is really bad.I think they made the third like that,to stop people comparing it to GTA,because it woud lose.It was fun,and it had things you wont find on a GTA game.4 was just dissapointing, and now this....

For me SR2 trumps all the GTA's thus far, and that includes 5 which I played already on consoles and really did like, GTA4 for me was terrible.

You should try playing it again with the community parches, its not to bad now....still a crap port, not sure how you can say its worse then GTA if you only played 2 hours though, not even scratching the surface, game had like 2-3x the content of Saints Row 3, a better city, and much much better cutscenes. To me it felt like a better expanded San Andreas.

Just my 2 cents.

I dont say its worse,i say that it compeats with GTA,a game that everybody loves and plays from many years. Its that kind of audiance that woud say-meh,GTa clone, and not even give it a chanse. This is why they had to make changes.

Idk I think it was unique enough(Character creator, different type of humor, etc...) and I don't understand that GTA clone thing honestly, I mean this genre does not have enough games, there is GTA/Sleeping Dogs/Watch Dogs/etc...not much choice...if anything I would think with the love GTA gets that people would want more games like it :-/.

Sleeping Dogs was my 2nd fav type of this game actually, loved that game...

Or 3 depending on how you felt about that.

Really was hoping for a remake of 1/2 or a reboot....Sad.

3 was ok, but nothing more than this, it bored quickly too, 40h for a game with open world like this, is not a lot, didn't played 2nd, but on 3rd would be better if it had tons of things it was missing or had more interesting things. Game doesn't last much longer than just beating it and doing secondary missions, and a game with open world like this should last much much longer, but it doesn't.

Should try the 2nd one(Make sure to pacth it and still expect some slow downs), you will get around 100 out of it going by your SR3 hours...maybe a bit more, I got around 150, 60 in SR3 and that was because I played it again on co-op with a friend...

SR3 had half the amount of devs working on it, it showed pretty heavily.

Well it's download only for PC, so it's actual downloadable content? ;)

I'd only count it as DLC if you can carry over costumes & weapons from 4.

Won't happen, might happen as paid for DLC :-D!

Technically, no. This is a standalone expansion to Saints Row 4 that they're selling for twenty bucks, not a full game in and of itself. Think of it like the difference between Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry (Gat Out of Hell) and Assassin's Creed: Unity (Saints Row 5).

That's what I was thinking as well but to be honest people seem to love SR more and more. Weird.

Darksiders: Gat Out of Hell

but yeah, it will be awfull if this is again on the same map. looks like they are following the CoD kind of business.

at least their games are fun to play... right?

also, i'm concerned concerned about this "thing"

They say the maps half the size, makes me guess its a new map maybe...?

Yeah, you're in the hell, so it doesn't make sense to reuse map.

well they could just replace buildings with rock piles or something...

awesome, new[or "new", depends on how much they reused assets] saints row game. and cmon, stop with butthurt, they are clearly not going back to their roots with first 2 saints row games. you might as well enjoy. while it will be[again] totally different than first two saints row, it will be fun[unlike call of duty and assassins creed]

I admit, I am pretty butthurt, no shame in admitting it, its kinda like seeing your neighborhood replacing it unique one of a kind shops with starbucks and bestbuys, a little upsetting.

Those cheap assholes... I was hoping this hell thing would be what Saints Row V would be about, but noooooooooooooooo. ANOTHER DLC, AND THIS ONE'S NOT INCLUDED IN THE SEASON PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HURRAY US!!!!!!!

IF it is half as bad as "How The Saints Saved Christmas" and "Enter the Dominatrix"... this franchise is dead. THE ONLY funny part of those two DLCs was the walk the dinosaur scene.

I assume they are pulling a 'Assassins Creed Rogue' on us and are just releasing this to gain revenue and distract as they work on Saints Row V.

Not a fan, I like sequels that are innovated compared to the previous, I am aware this is not a sequel, but I am not a fan still.

Waiting to see if it may get bundled with Saints Row V or something in the far, far, far away future, I have ZERO interest in this and I loved Saints Row IV (the guy that chose the music needs an award).

That's an odd direction to take it in. SR4's ending had two really cool possibilities (Saints in Space and Saints in Time), and they went with... Saints in Hell?

..just waiting for them to announce that 'this was so awesome, we've decided to package it as a full priced sequel'...

you know, exactly like what they did with sr4, the dlc pack that walked like a full sequel.

I love how they release a Season Pass yet this thing is not included. The idea is interesting but I have seen what DeepSilver is up to for money with SR3 and even SR4. Too many dlcs.
I was actually waiting for the Game of the Century Edition but still they decided to release a one more expansion (that is not included)

I plan on getting Game of the Century Edition when it goes to 75% off, same with this one probably, I am just disappointed really.

Honestly SR3 was awesome and SR4 wasn't all that bad either. Yes, the gameplay was a bit repetitive, but I still had a lot of fun with it.
