Question about how CV works

Ok, so I have a question about Contributor Value.

I understand that $30 is the cap for only bundled games. I also understand that to receive CV after that, it calculates 20@ of your current CV and gives you that much CV for the game (Obviously, if that result is higher than the CV you'd originally get, you'd only get the original CV and nothing more.) So here's my question.

I gave away a $20 Bundled Game (Brutal Legend). It has been enough time for the CV to update, yet it has not increased one cent. My CV excluding all bundle games is $147, and 20% of $147 is $29.40, so I should have gotten the CV from Brutal Legend, correct? Even if it wasn't full CV, shouldn't I have received some CV?

I'm wondering if maybe I have to give away a non-bundled game in order to receive the CV from said game. I'm not sure if this is correct, but it is all I can think of.
