It also depends on the company. A lot of them simply don't exist anymore.
It's one of the reasons I hate the current state of the game industry + copyright laws.
I believe in archiving and being able to play anything not sold anymore.

I'd like to see games unbutchered by censorship. It really sucks when you have to buy 1 copy on Steam and then another copy on a publisher's website (or even on console) to play the same game again, but with unaltered/uncut scenes/text.
I would've never guessed that in 2017 console games are going to be less censored than PC games..

That's not even the worst case, because you at least know PRIOR TO BUYING that it's been butchered. There is at least one game, I won't name it here, that wasn't rated R18 upon release, but afterwards devs were contacted by nutaku and made a version with additional content exclusively for nutaku shop. I don't even care about porn in my games, but additional content is additional content and it triggers me like crazy that you can't even get it as a dlc after buying the game, you have to go and buy it somewhere else AFTER the game was released. Look at Sakura series, they have patches for their games no prob, why is it hard for others to act the same way?
