Yes contact Steam Support. I had Prototype disappear from my library as well but got it back after talking to them since the original person who bought it got a chargeback for it so I ended up being affected but after explaining my problem they gave me access to the game again and made me official owner. Since your case is a key then they may have a different story for it.
