I'd like to turn hundreds of backgrounds/emoticons (that I've been gathering for years) into gems, but doing it 1 by 1 would take me hours and hours.
I tried gemify but it doesn't work.
I installed Enhanced steam but I couldn't access my profile anymore and got this:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198047744978" on this server.
So I uninstalled it.

Is there any way to turn in gems multiple items at the same time?

I'd uninstall it once you're done, I recall there being some pretty shady things going on with one of the updates a while back (should be easy to find on google), and I don't know if that was ever changed.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll do that for sure, I don't use Chrome anyway.
It saved me a lot of time, I think I turned about 1,5k backgrounds/emoticons for about 18k gems.

As HUNDarkCool said, Steam Inventory Helper is a good one to try.

Steam Economy Enhancer since we don't live in the history when Helper was good and not Russian spyware.

Better still to provide it for others that might check this. Also did you check the prices before making everything to gems? Some people pay several bucks for rarer ones. I check http://steam.tools/itemvalue/ to spot the top ones before doing anything else.

Yep I saw that 1 background was a bit more than 50cts so I put it on the market and couple other thing, but my internet is pretty slow and it takes forever to load so I missed some for sure but nvm, I'll do better next time. I mostly used things that looks like crap so I shouldn't lose too much.

That's why you need to use external services like that where you can sort items by price. Trying to spot them from Steam inventory while waiting for prices to load will take forever.

I never used Chrome and I won't start using it, only once in a while to use the Steam Inventory Helper add-on, and only for that.
So am I good if I only use Chrome for this purpose? They can't collect info if I don't use it right?

Well that's the way I do it as a lazy person. You can also turn the extension on and off, since it says it's some kind of background app. But I wont start recommending it to others in case it is worse than I think.
