I see, it is an informal hearing at the pre-announcement stage, and I guess it is mainly about funds for ammunition and consumable-related items that will not be used for 1-2 years.
Still, it is a year or two, and the Associated Press one is understandable to a certain extent, but the Russian report seems to exaggerate too much.

Thanks for letting me know.🤔

New explosions in Russia: ammunition caught fire "due to the heat"; evacuation has started - TUESDAY, 23 AUGUST

In Belgorod Oblast in Russia, ammunition is on fire and the population is being evacuated. Local authorities claim that the "lens effect" allegedly caused a fire under the bright sunshine.
Source: Viacheslav Gladkov, the governor of Belgorod Oblast, on Telegram
Quote: "Due to hot weather, [the lens effect occurred] near the village of Tymonove; ammunition which hadn’t been neutralised by sappers caught fire".

A comment from the Ukrainian government on Twitter about the explosions in Russia:

Another detonation of ammo "due to the heat" in the Belgorod region in russia. In a few months we will find out whether russian ammo can explode because of the cold.
The five main causes of sudden explosions in Russia are: winter, spring, summer, autumn and smoking.

Russia-Ukraine war: Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant disconnected from grid; death toll from Russian strike on rail station rises to 25 – live | Ukraine | The Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2022/aug/25/russia-ukraine-war-blasts-heard-in-kyiv-region-joe-biden-to-call-volodymyr-zelenskiy-live-news

Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant disconnected from grid, says operator

Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant under occupation by Russian troops was disconnected from the national power supply on Thursday, the state energy operator said.

In a statement, Energoatom said the plant was disconnected from Ukraine’s national grid after a power line was damaged by fires at ash pits in a nearby thermal power plant.

Energoatom said:

The actions of the invaders caused a complete disconnection of the (Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant) from the power grid - the first in the history of the plant.

Three of the nuclear plant’s power lines “were earlier damaged during terrorist attacks” by Russian forces, the operator said.

As a result, the two remaining working of the plant’s six reactors still functioning “were disconnected from the network”.

The operator added that the plant’s security systems were working normally and work was under way to reconnect one of the reactor blocks to the grid.

😒
IAEA inspections are coming soon, and there seems to be an increase in disturbing activity.
Suspicious fires are occurring in the forests around the nuclear power plant.
It seems that they are maliciously harassing the surrounding soil, raising radiation levels and making it look as if a radiation accident has occurred.

The Russian government has acknowledged the IAEA inspections, but I wonder if it is a moral or intellectual problem of "Russian front-line soldiers" or something more serious.
If there was nothing wrong with it, we would have been able to agree on it more than 3 weeks ago. Russia only agreed to it on the 19th.

The last regular power line supplying electricity to the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine has been restored, according to the UN nuclear watchdog, citing Ukraine.
It comes after Ukraine’s nuclear power operator, Energoatom, said the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was disconnected from Ukraine’s national grid for the first time in nearly 40 years of operation.
The final power line connecting the plant to the grid was cut twice by fires at the ash pits of a nearby coal-fired power plant, the operator said earlier today.
Disconnecting the plant raises the risk of catastrophic failure of cooling systems for its reactors and spent fuel rods, which run on electricity.
In a statement, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said:
Ukraine told the IAEA that the ZNPP, Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, at least twice lost connection to the power line during the day but that it was currently up again.

For you information - I hold nazis and soviets at the same level. Both dealt horrible damage to the Baltics and celebrating either should be forbidden by law. Soviet communism was as horrible if not even more horrible then nazi germany. And Russia is literally now recreating soviet union wet dreams. So stop twisting the words of everyone.

Nazis where horrible and so where soviets. And so is putin and his supporters, because they are recreating soviet union by the book.

Its fascinating how you think that glorifying mass murderers like stalin is acceptable. That is off topic but that is what basically this monument represented. Countless people deported and murdered by the regime of soviets. And you know why everyone hates russia now? Because those who remember the atrocities of soviets literally see exact same lies and crimes committed by modern day russia in Ukraine.

Good grief, they don't teach you shit in Russia about WW2, other than that Soviet Army liberated the world from the Nazis. It doesn't surprise me you guys lack brains to understand the simpliest things or even understand what fascism is. To shorten things for you, the Allies(USA, Great Britain and France) liberated Germany from the West while the Soviets came from the East. Germany back then was devided in 4 occupation zones after the war, the North was occupied by Great Britain the West by France, the South by US, and the unlucky East by the Soviets. While West Germany prospered into one of the strongest industrial countries in the world, East Germany remained a socialistic shithole until re-united with the West in 1990, where people in the supermarket could buy 3 or 4 different things if at all. It was the same as in all Soviet occupied places, a desolate shithole, with no prospect. It's so funny how you always call everyone a Nazi or Hitler lover who doesn't agree with your opinion, while Pootin is in the same vein as Hitler.

Murder on civilians? Like the "civilians" in schools and hospitals, that in reality were packed full of troops with zero civilians inside, making them 100% legal military targets? I like how when Amnesty blew the lid on Ukrainian military using real civilians as human shields, thus being responsible for 90% of said civilain casualties, they were attacked for showing inconvenient truth (with no one being able to prove them wrong, just mudslinging pro-Putin smears which is hilarious considering how staggeringly biased against Russia they were for years) and people like you still repeat the lies even when shown footage to the contrary...

The point is - civilians are dead. And that is solely due to putler being power hungry and invading a sovereign country. That didn't have to happen. Everything that happened is the fault of russia invading a fucking country.

Russia has made their bed. As a side note - of course I don't condone using civilian infrastructure and people for military operations and if amnesty has proof Ukraine has done something against rules, they should be investigated. But don't you fucking try to use that as argument for excusing russia. GOD DAMN PEOPLE ARE DEAD. Due to invasion of country that was absolutely not needed.

I'm sick of people trying to paint picture more favorable for russia. They invaded.. they fucking invaded. and they never had to do that. Everything that has happened has happened due to putler being fucking psycho. We are not at war with people, we are at war with the idea. This is the tragedy of Ukrainian soldiers. We don't care how many we have to kill them. If we were at war with people, we could make peace with them. But we are at war with the idea. So all bearers of an idea must be killed. Like this guy. Probably he did not want to lie near Azovstal. Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant’s last reactor disconnected after Russian shelling, says operator
The final working reactor block of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in south-east Ukraine has been disconnected after Russian shelling disrupted power lines, according to Ukraine’s state energy operator.

In a Telegram statement, Energoatom said:

[Private Nonsense]
Nevertheless, at the beginning of the war, Russia deliberately manipulated the ruble's exchange rate to buy up Russian private companies.
(That exchange and timeline will remain in an old discussion here)
There is some talk of making those former private companies that were forced to become state-owned enterprises obligated to volunteer to serve in the army.
Russia, regardless of whether it wins or loses, seems to be approaching the point where the number of young people is rapidly declining and the old people in power are selling off their remaining resources to prolong their lives, and the North Korean workers, who are good friends with Russia, are taking care of them in their old age.

Update 98 – IAEA Director General Statement on Situation in Ukraine | IAEA
https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/pressreleases/update-98-iaea-director-general-statement-on-situation-in-ukraine

Ukraine informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that a back-up power line between the country’s Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and a nearby thermal power station was deliberately disconnected today in order to extinguish a fire, but the line itself was not damaged. The ZNPP continues to receive the electricity it needs for safety from its sole operating reactor.

(omission (of middle part of a text))

Over the past month, there have been numerous shelling incidents at or near the ZNPP, causing damage at the facility and raising widespread concern about the risk of a severe nuclear accident potentially jeopardizing human health and the environment. Shelling at the ZNPP on 1 September damaged an oil tank containing turbine lubrication oil, and there was renewed shelling today.

Director General Grossi will on Tuesday issue a report about the nuclear safety, security and safeguards situation in Ukraine – including the findings from the mission to the ZNPP – and later the same day brief the United Nations Security Council about the mission to the plant.

[Private Nonsense]
Incidentally, today was the fourth anniversary of the day my local earthquake knocked out power to 2.9 million local households.

And as we recall the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake, the loss of cooling function is the same as that.
Loss of cooling function means loss of homes, loss of livelihood, loss of family and friends.
With supplies, manpower, and money, containment is possible, but it will be difficult under the circumstances.

It is worse than that.
We need to keep a watchful eye on the people of earth to make sure they do not cease to care about and support this matter.

Hi,

You really should not make so many replies to yourself. If people want to have news feed from twitter they will subscribe to one.

I generally agree that since it has been over 6 months since 224, I would go to Twitter and news feeds, even if the IAEA bulletin is posted for easier tracking.

I posted it because it was a follow-up report regarding some news that had just come out at the time of posting and regarding the "danger signs" at the plant that I had previously put out.🤔

By the way, the Russian army is conducting exercises in my neighborhood next door.
Please understand that this is also a "reality" in front of you.
📝
And since yesterday, government websites have been affected.
When Ukraine was invaded, it was after such a cyber attack, wasn't it?

While I am concerned about the aforementioned reports.
We are about to clean up after the recent typhoon.🌀

I would like to take this opportunity to confirm one thing: I have not seen the topic owner of this "discussion" in the discussion for a long time.

It's been almost six months since we talked about how to handle this topic.
Would you like to add a topic category for the topic of war?
(SG community discussion)

I believe that this debate survives in the agreement of the Ukrainian and Russian publics as well as the people of the global world.

However, have you ever felt "war fatigue" and felt "I don't want to hear about war, good or bad"?
It is understandable that in the midst of such feelings, the sentiment "they all look like the same pictures and letters.

If similar content continues to be published, perhaps those who think so will complain.

I understand those "investigate the intent of the content of the post" posts, and I appreciate the work you do to manage and maintain the community.

A new entry among the 2022 Russian businessmen mystery deaths, Ravil Maganov, the chairman of an oil company that criticized Russia's invasion of Ukraine, reportedly died after falling from a hospital window.
There is also an article about a series of prominent Russians who mysteriously fall from windows and die.

This is Russia shooting, the Zaporizhzhia NPP is under Russian occupation. If you want to blame Ukraine, let's say Russia does it out of desperation.

According to your logic Russia was striking on Russian army on ZNPP, and now Russian army is striking back from ZNPP. Don't you see any contradictions?

Armed Forces of Ukraine tell press how they destroyed Russian plane without firing single missile

Quote from members of an anti-aircraft unit: "We also shot down a plane without firing a single missile. We found the target, [and] we turned on the backlight radar. At this time, radar exposure warning signals sounded in the Ruscist's [Russian invader’s - ed] cabin. He realised that he had turned from being a hunter to being a target. This probably stunned the pilot so much he immediately ejected. The plane crashed…"

At least the Russian pilot was faster than the Ukrainian anti-aircraft unit, he deserves a medal.

Russia Is Buying North Korean Artillery, According to U.S. Intelligence
If you want to avoid nytimes restrictions, the same news, other news media: BBC, the Guardian, Newsweek, REUTERS
According to declassified US intelligence obtained by the New York Times, Russia has bought millions of artillery shells and rockets from Pyongyang. A US official said Russia would be forced to buy additional North Korean weaponry as the war dragged on.
Russia buying from North Korea means that Russia is really worried about its lack of artillery in the near future.
Being pushed to rely on things from North Korea ... Wasn't Russia supposed to be the second world army and the second arms seller? 😅😂🤣

Always nice to see that the sanctions work, even if we hoped they'd be even more devastating.

The sanctions would have worked even better if we wouldn't have so deeply rooted Russian control in the EU ...
I'm just glad all this is coming out in the light and local governments are realizing that Kremlin has been playing shadow games in politics through having control over big businesses.

As a side note - In Latvia the main company that controls gas supply to everyone actually has majority of shares owned by fucking gazprom and other Russian entities, making it basically a Russian company. They have reported 15.5 times bigger profit the previous year AND They are claiming they wont have enough gas for the winter and they need to buy more from Russia despite sanctions. While they actually have the gas, but they have already sold it to simply make profit .. and btw that gas was supposed to be bought against sanctions for the sole purpose of surviving the winter. But of course Russian overlords are not interested in that.. money money and money is the only force working here. At least government is finally realizing that this gas giant in Latvia is Russian controlled cancer and starting to phase it out.... It does feel like it will be a huge shitshow over the winter and who gets to provide the gas, but Im just glad it came out in the light. The CEO of the Latvian Gas was one of the incompetent fuckwits who almost bankrupted country back in 2008 and now he is playing with people being left without heating and companies going bankrupt trying to pay the huge bills for artificially inflated Russian gas. Nice work Russia - made everyone realize what kind of cancer you are on the planet and made everyone hate you. Great success.

Also - Peskov said that the gas flow will only resume through nord stream when sanctions will be lifted. Ultimately rendering all of the previous excuses as lies. There are no technical difficulties or whatever imposed by west... Eat that putlers supporters. All the trolls here where so keen on trying to paint west as the ones at fault here and constantly played down how gas flow is not being used as political weapon........ And now they literally come out and say that it will be used as political weapon to get sanctions lifted......... Is the memory of trolls really non existent?

How Is Russian Economy Doing? Worse Recession Scenario Seen in Internal Report - Bloomberg
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-09-05/russia-risks-bigger-longer-sanctions-hit-internal-report-warns

Russia gov apparently responded to this Bloomberg report and told them that the contents of the internal document are true.
(The content was that the figures were based on the assumption that no measures had been taken, and that there was no problem because they would recover by the end of the year.)

https://www.reuters.com/world/russias-putin-says-west-is-failing-future-is-asia-2022-09-07/

Putin increasingly casts the conflict in Ukraine, which he calls a "special military operation", as a turning point in history when Russia finally threw off the humiliations which accompanied the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union.

Top tier strategist here at work. Really threw off the "humiliation" by making the whole world unanimously root for dissolution of Russia as it is now. I'm truly sorry for the poor Russian people who have nothing else but this sick propaganda fed to them.. They truly believe west is in the shitter and Russia is the powerhouse.........

Only thing I have to ask again and again - is putler really that delusional and stupid to think this to be truth or is he just playing into his own lies because he knows he has to keep Russians into bubble of fantasy

Then the propagandists published videos of killed Ukrainian fighters. The full video from the filming location has been released. There "dead Ukrainian fighters" come to life. LINK

It was shared on multiple pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, but in reality it was a Ukrainian video intended to trick Russia.
Ukraine Soldiers Pretend to be Dead to Trick Russians in Video

On Tuesday, multiple channels on the Telegram messaging app posted the video, including Vladislav Pozdnyakov, who runs the online Russian ultra-nationalist online group called "Male State," which is known for spreading pro-Kremlin propaganda regarding Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The footage appears to shows multiple "dead" Ukrainian soldiers, all lying next to a river bank.
However, on Wednesday, a Ukrainian channel posted the full video, showing some of the "dead" soldiers stand up, Bellingcat's Aric Toler first reported, noting that the footage was intended to trick Russia.
