ウクライナの避難民支援に向けて| Yahoo! JAPAN
https://humanitarian-aid.yahoo.co.jp/

It seems that Yahoo Japan is holding an event in which 10 yen will be donated to Ukraine if you search for "support for Ukraine(ウクライナ支援)" on Yahoo Japan.
Clicking on the same string in parentheses () in the page would automatically donate the money.

Only one click per person seems to be valid.

AIVD said a 33-year-old purporting to be a Brazilian national named Viktor Muller Ferreira flew to the Netherlands from Brazil to start an internship at the ICC in The Hague — except the man’s real name was Sergey Vladimirovich Cherkasov, and he was a 36-year-old Russian intelligence officer, according to the agency.
Cherkasov, posing as Muller Ferreira, “used a well-constructed cover identity by which he concealed all his ties with Russia in general, and the GRU [Russia’s intelligence directorate] in particular,” according to AIVD, which released copies of a document detailing the man’s elaborate cover identity.

interview with Babushka Z: The woman who became a Russian propaganda icon
Thanks to a video, Anna Ivanovna became an icon of Russian propaganda. She is an elderly Ukrainian woman who mistook Ukrainian soldiers for Russians during Russia's invasion of Ukraine and greeted them with the red flag of the Soviet Union. Ukrainian soldiers said they had arrived to help her and offer her a bag of food. Then they took the soviet flag, threw it on the ground and stomped on it. So the woman, feeling insulted, returned the food to them.
For the Kremlin, this was gold. Russian propaganda is rarely able to centre on individuals, and they saw this woman as a rare example of a Ukrainian who regretted the collapse of the Soviet Union and considered the Russians to be liberators.

But she does not support the war: "How can I support my people dying? My grandchildren and great-grandchildren were forced to go to Poland. We live in fear and terror.", "If I could speak to Vladimir Putin I would say, you've made a mistake. Us Ukrainian workers, what have we ever done to deserve this? We are the ones who are suffering the most."

Anna is really nostalgic for Soviet times: "My parents died for this flag in World War II," (about the soviet flag). Nostalgia again: "I was just happy that Russians would come and not fight with us. I was happy that we would unite again.". And as if she were still in Soviet times, she is reluctant to openly criticize the Russian leader: "Putin is a president. A tsar, a king, an emperor.".

Even though she has become a star in Moscow, Anna's village has not been spared by Putin's forces - it has been bombed several times. Some houses are on fire. Others have been reduced to ashes. Her own home has suffered from the shelling - her windows are shattered, the roof is damaged and shrapnel is scattered on the front lawn.
"'Now I see," Anna said. "They do not care about people here in Ukraine, they care only about conquering our lands."

A quote from Putin to conclude: "Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Whoever wants it back has no brain".

True but if users are caught up in pointless back and forth like some do it makes discussion hard to follow, like you mentioned. If someone makes comment how beautiful earth is from space, and troll says that earth is flat, photos are fabricated and US is evil - give them counter evidence and leave it. But don't start 20 post arguing with a parrot that just say "I am right" "I am right" "I am right".

That's the biggest issue here. People who troll have fun of leading other into pointless argues.

Trolls are disturbing thread only because others keep replying with "oh russian tears", "go back to russia", "puttin puppet". It doesn't add anything to the discussion and just creates those monstrous reply trees. I received couple replies with "oh your evidence is bad, my russian evidence is good" and will ignore it. I already see there is nothing to gain from replying, they already started to discuss "me", not topic at hand or link / article / video they originally replied to.

I know forums where any off-topic talk would be suspension worthy. Half of users here would receive suspension already.

SG always had more relaxed approach to forum moderation and users were allowed to write what they want as long as it doesn't break any point of the guidelines. If we go after users that go with "I am right your proof is bad" then we would also need to go equally after people that keep replying with "oh no russian tears" etc. One fuels another, parrots don't exist in a void.

That's why I in general just advice to ignore people. If there are no replies to them - they don't have reason to keep replying. If they keep replying to the same person who ignores them numerous times - it would be spam. If someone posts video from yt propaganda channel send reply that points to article explaining they are sellouts spreading propaganda and leave it at it. When someone links to "US expert" on yt - explain they were thrown away from army for spreading misinformation and now spread it on the internet. Don't go into "oh yeah, but only your sources are right" argument. It can't be won.

well, i think you're missing some vital points here, if there were no russian propaganda in the first place, there wouldn't be any claims about russian tears either, it's not like the question about the hen and the egg, when something was clearly there first.

Another point is, you can avoid to reply to them, but when you post news about Ukraine, which doesn't fit russian propaganda, they will be there and reply to you. So not replying to them is a thing of the wiser head gives in? On the other side, when the wiser head always give in, the world would be ruled by the dumb.

Problem is created only when users keep replying. Ignoring is always an option. We never implemented pre-emptive bans on what people can write. People can write they support Trump or Obama. That Trump was right, elections were rigged and we should have dude with bison horns on head as president. That someone is against homosexual marriages as it's against their religion. And many other social or economic opinions. We don't have a "liberal, pro-west, ban-nationalists" bubble here for people to be not allowed to support specific topics.

We do suspend users for hate speech and saying social groups, nationalities etc. should be eradicated. But this is part of the guidelines. I issued couple suspensions myself here. There is nothing about having unlikable opinions.

So not replying to them is a thing of the wiser head gives in? On the other side, when the wiser head always give in, the world would be ruled by the dumb.

Yes, exactly. And SG is not whole word, how much support anti-Ukraine people have here? There are like 2 or 3 of them that keep replying? So you can safely ignore those. People will not start to support Putin because two chickens run around and scream. If you post source from NBC, Reuters, BBC or Amnesty International and get either "omg fakez" as reply or link to random 5s clip on telegram - I think people will see which one is more truthful.

As I wrote above - we never used blanket ban on unpopular topics to limit people ability to comment. This is how SG discussions were from the start, and how site admin decided forums should work. It is not up to us to suspend users because majority of others disagree with them.

It is not always good, like in this thread. But then it's up to users to not give them fuel to disrupt thread even more. Reply once or twice and ignore when it again derails and goes into pointless discussion.

the thing is, this is a political thread, which i think is different from most SG threads, also the title already says, it's about a one sided view and thus points out, that no discussions with pro-russian propaganda is wanted, at least that's my opinion

another point is, we aren't sure, if these 2 guys are trolls from a troll farm and get paid for their actions here, so it's their work to post here and not replying to them wouldn't stop them in any way

Not replying to them makes it harder for them to meet the daily quota. After all, they can't ferever reply to a single comment, they need to make it look like a real discussion, or they don't get their 15 rubles (10 cents? :D ). So by refusing to interact with them we can limit the spread they can do, and spam they do in threads.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov interviewed by a journalist. The journalist asks about Russia's genocide allegations:

Russia has accused Ukraine of genocide. However, in 2021, eight civilians were killed in the rebel-held areas, according to self-proclaimed pro-Russian "officials", and seven the year before. While every death was a tragedy, I said, that did not constitute a genocide.
I suggested that if genocide really had taken place, then the Luhansk and Donetsk separatists would have been interested in us going there. Why were we not let in, I asked.
"I don't know," said Mr Lavrov.

Same article but different quotes.
The last two years (before the war) according to self-proclaimed pro-Russian "officials" 15 citizens have been killed by Ukrainians, this is far from being a genocide. However, when the Russian military kills thousands of civilians in 3 months, it is not genocide according to the Kremlin.

Russian Army liberators existed only against the Nazis, which is why Putin made Russia schizo-fascist. Putin don't care of people, he want to seize land and ressources. Russia is a colonialist state that wants its Soviet colonies back into its empire.

I get the feeling that you don't understand what the word 'hate' actually means.

He explained how most Russians live in their own sphere, disconnected from the rest of the world. And global realities.

That these circumstances result in destructive problems is obvious enough. Not giving in to the shit Russia does, does not imply hating Russians.

as long as the individual is adequate and is in tune with the native population, they will be treated well

This post doesn't add anything to this discussion. You will need to stop to reply unless you have something to add to the discussion.

Same here:
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/Vtr660G - "I don't think so" is not an argument that can be had over and over again as reply
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/WJa3z5e - you say there is no point to argue, so why do you keep responding? If you want people stop to reply to you - you need stop to try always have the last word
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/KI219Ek - I don't think Russia as a country can be possibly shown in any worse light than it currently is. Maybe if Putin would decide to directly attack NATO or use nukes... Sadly for Russia we now have satellites with internet, and anyone can take out phone and record. It's not 1 WW anymore where people used pigeons for messaging, and where gathering evidence was hard. Couple people may repeat it's "special operation" but everyone else sees how it is in reality
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/mkniAaj - again, post just to have last word
https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/8FB202a - again, you act like my previous posts about pointless argues don't apply to you

This is only on this page alone. After I asked people to stop posting yes / no argues. You don't need to have the last word. And you should stop to write "people should stop reply to you" (or link to posts where you say people should not reply to you...) when you're the one starting reply chain in the first place.

Yet you seem to be monitoring this thread 24/7 and rushing to 'argue'
Pots something external (always from biased sources), try to defend it once or twice, but then gives up on responses or avoid solid arguments. Waste of time indeed, since the main goal was already reached
But then you imediatly go 'waste time' to another post and another

I get wanting to prove a point. I believe you believe in your points, and im sad you dont even consider 'what if im wrong'. You WANT to believe in what you believe. Happens across the world, on all political parties and religions. I wish people were more open minded and really debated, but when people want to believe like that its hopeless

Thing is everyone knows that. So when you batlanty comes insisting so much in this one narrative (that the huge majority here dont buy) youre not convincing anyone, and no one is hoping to convince someone so close minded and laser focused as you either. We all see who you are and where you coming from, heck you state that. Youre a team player to the end, youve chosen your team, its narrative, no matter what happens you will side and choose sources accordingly
This thread if full of people that is tired of teams in general or in the other team

Youre just wasting your and ours time. Youre not thinking things trouhgh, not only in regards to fact and sources but... what you want to achieve here? Convincing anyone is off the table. Shifting perspectives is off the table. No one want to listens to you. If not convincing then what? Some fake feeling that you maybe made a difference, for Z, Putin whatever?

If you trully believe in whatezer Z means (btw, its been memed vaguely on purpose, because its no real cause, its void), if you believe and want to help Putin (call it russia if you want, from putins view putin=russia=putin)...
...then do it.
But i mean, for real.
Enlist man. Go to ukraine.
If you really believe youre just looking at facts, go there, find the nazis yourself. Take pictures and video of ukraines or nato or whatever staging and hurting their own citizens. Now that would be better, a video from you from the field showing those things would be much much more sound and solid then whatever you doing posting here.

Now if your goal is wasting yours and random people onlines time then congrats, youre accomplishing it. I wasted some 10 minutes to you today, but unlike others im too old and tired with the average online attention seeker or troll so thats the only time i will waste on this.

True to heart, wishing you well advice (that sadly i know you wont listen): try to start questioning yourself, and others, and sources. I used to strongly believe in stuff in the past too but i grew wiser. Sure in this ukraine-russia topic russias been relentless with media weaponizing, but im also familiar with us propaganda or ukraines own embelishments, but end of the day theres an invader and the defenders arent hurting their own people so i took a side this time.
Anyway, its not worth wearing anyones colors. Goverments, movements etc, theyre all someones agenda and they all lack nuance, and the world is more complex, gray area and chaotic then any sides or ideals try to sell. And theres no ultimately good guys nor ultimate bad guys eeither.

But since youre a believer i take you wont listen to that advice

So at least another: stop wasting your and ours time, or if you really wanna make a difference go enlist. Go fight for Putin, go defeat said Nazis. Maybe im wrong, putin is right so that would be good- i hate nazis so yeah. Go there, take a bullet for the man that doesnt even sit near other people. Im sure he would approve

The Wagner Group includes a contingent known as Rusich, or Task Force Rusich,[126] referred to as a "sabotage and assault reconnaissance group", which has been fighting as part of the Russian separatist forces in eastern Ukraine.[127] Rusich are described as a far-right extremist[75][128] or neo-Nazi unit,[129] and their logo features a Slavic swastika.[130] The group was founded by Alexey Milchakov and Yan Petrovsky in the summer of 2014, after graduating from a paramilitary training program run by the Russian Imperial Legion, the fighting arm of the Russian Imperial Movement.[131] As of 2017, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General and the International Criminal Court (ICC) were investigating fighters of this unit for alleged war crimes committed in Ukraine.[132]

Just about 2 hours ago, my account on one of the biggest social media websites in China, "Zhihu" got suspended (again) likely because I posted too much truth about this war. :)
https://www.zhihu.com/people/orochi2k/posts
Maybe, one day, I will post a collection of those posts I wrote in China as records of this war.

Meanwhile, I added a Ukraine Awareness page on my game's wiki as well: https://neolithia.fandom.com/wiki/Ukraine_Awareness

Unless China blocks steam and fandom entirely, I can get information through even just by my game.
Being apolitical like many other game developers is not a choice anymore. After all, it seems the censorship in China does not give me many alternative solutions but to launch a platform of my own in this war.

I have made up my mind to continue to support Ukraine in this war until it ends.
I am stubborn enough to not change my mind since then.
I don't mind even joining the International Legion of Ukraine because I am so disappointed in China and many people in China.
I sent an email and asked if I can join. But, I got rejected because I lack military experience.
Nevertheless, I'm still trying to help in other ways. This is something at least I can do.

Слава Украине!
