To the ones who got Civ5 from GMG, is the Gold Edition Upgrade showing in your steamgifts account?

I'm pretty sure it only gives the base game for Civ5. Yet when I was syncing my account here to filter out all the other Civ5 giveaways, it listed the Gold Edition Upgrade as a game in my account. I just checked my Steam Account details and sure enough, I haven't purchased that upgrade.

The only thing listed is Sid Meier's Civilization V Retail which logged the activation of the key I got from greenmangaming.

Any help in this matter?

Never heard of that, I thought keys are only lost if they get revoked because they were stolen/exploited/payed with stolen credit cards. I still don't think that GMG will revoke any of these keys.

Anomaly Warzone Earth keys that you got for free expire for example.

I thought those were only the keys on the card from the box, not the Steam key itself

Not sure about Civ5, but some keys expire after a while.

Your best course of action would be to use it or share it ASAP. Just to be sure.

The 'Gold Edition Upgrade' is listed on Steam Gifts for me. In my DLC tab in Steam I have the 'Civ And Scenario Pack - Mongols, GEnhis Khan' listed. When I entered the key I got Sid Meier's Civilization V Retail, same as you.

I just got the base game. Did any of you who have the DLCs displayed as owned tested if you really own them or if it's a displaying bug?
Edit: What I mean is I don't have the displaying bug. Luckily. ^^

I bought Civ 5 and if you installed the game the screen should show Gods and Kings maybe. Then its the Gold Edition like I have. Without the Gold update you can not play some scenarios. Just look if you can play them and then you know what kind of version you got...

For me it is only the base game and in the menu under DLCs it displays something about mongolians which is not listed in Steam store as DLC. So I guess it always comes with the base game. On the other hand I don't have any DLCs displayed as owned in Steam store so it seems this bug skipped me.

I will be probably hated for this but, I think SG have a problem with dlcs. Sometimes they are correctly sync and they don't appear anymore if you have it, yet other times you own it and the site doesn't detect you have them. In this case is the contrary, you don't have the dlc but it shows you have it.

Isn't there any way to fix this weird stuff that happens with dlcs?

Exactly what I wanted to say. I have SR3 all DLC's - not shown on steamgifts, Dead Island Goty - SG again doesn't detect DLC's. I have 2 DLC's for Civ 5 - and it's showing I have Gold edition upgrade :/

Please, admin/mods/supports do something about it

To me it doesn't seem like SG's fault since people are reporting DLCs are wrongly displayed as owned on Steam store. So it's either an issue Steam has or something is wrong with the key from GMG. But I bet it's Steam.

For the missing DLCs on SG I repeat what I wrote to Seibitsu: Are you using SG+? Because I have read that it has some issues with DLCs.

I was using, but I stopped (noticed, that some GA are missing :/) So I synced again, but still it doesn't detect DLCs

I don't see any reason to hate you. :P Are you using SG+? Because I have read that it has some issues with DLCs.

I still get the Gold edition in my giveaway feed, but yes "Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gold Edition Upgrade" is randomly listed in my sync list for no good reason.

Someone open a support ticket.

This problem is not related to the GMG giveaway. I've had Civ V in my account for over a year (and with no DLC) and SG lists the gold edition upgrade in my filtered games that I "already have".
