Hi there

I just launched Games4Steam.com, a website where you can enter into the prize draw and get a random game from our selection of great games. See http://www.games4steam.com/ for the games and more information. Games include Portal 2, Dishonored, Batman: Arkham City, Bioshock 2, and many more.

Please if you visit and enter, tell me what you think of the website, since I'm always looking for ways to improve the service.

Seems our ISP is getting DDoS attacks on their infrastructure, so the site may not be accessible for a while. Talk about timing ^^

Other than that, I didn't know about the self-promotion rule but I'm mainly looking for feedback on the website, not necessarily sales :) It's a new concept I'm trying out so I do want people's thoughts on it.

Well, now you know about the rule

Also, by re-selling HIB bundles or parts thereof you're in violation of their TOS, just saying (not sure about other bundles you may be recycling, but it's not my duty to inform you about TOS violations anyway, you should have done that in the first place).

Again: Please close this thread

I assure you I'm not reselling bundle contents. A number of the games may have been part of bundles, which is why I was able to get them at a low price after all, but I am aware that it's not permitted to resell bundle games.

first off, private profile? no thanks...and i stopped reading after

Basic tier 24/100 bought
Only $5 to get one of the 15 games below

XIII Century - Gold Edition
Iron Grip: Warlord
Company of Heroes
World of Goo

World of Goo for 5 bucks? almost every game was or is already bundled, this is way to expensive

You're correct, the basic tier has relatively cheap games. Though on the Steam store itself these games still cost 8 to 10 bucks. I'm working on contacting publishers directly to get better deals, and I might lower the prices in the future.

"Though on the Steam store itself these games still cost 8 to 10 bucks."

This forum is probably the worst place to try and sell that ridiculous logic.

Your attempt to promote a scam site is bad, and you should feel bad. Bundle games sold for 5$ each. LOLZ go post this in kindergarten, maybe some will fall for it.

So if I understand correctly, the main issue you guys have with the site is the selection of games, not the concept in itself? By which I mean, if I were to offer better games/lower prices, you might be interested?

I won't be interested in spending $5, $14, or $22 to get a random game from a selection. If I ever was going to spend that money, it would be for one specific game. Too risky otherwise, and not that interesting at these prices.

Given that it's $20 on Steam, it seems that $14 could still be an okay deal. But, I understand your point.

are you seriously thinking the steam shop prices are the way to go?

Plus any of these games you offer can be obtained for far less, and theres absolutely no guarantees that I will get anything from you. You could just take the money and vanish...

Seems like the main issue here is with the prices that I ask, since there may have been lower prices at one point. I find the statements some of you made on here to be irrational and not in any way constructive (no I don't count "lol" as constructive criticism), but I would like to thank the people who took the time to write an actual response and give me a reason why this would supposedly be so ridiculous. I do understand and follow the feedback given, and I will take a look at and revise my pricesettings accordingly. Thank you all for your feedback :)
