I get like 5-7 friend requests a day with people asking me (mostly on broken english) for an invite to private groups

I'd be in favour of removing it entirely, I'm not generous enough to ever appear on the list but given the sheer number of scammers and beggers going around it seems likely it's only going to serve as a hassle to gifters.
There has to be a better way to reward the very generous people then this?

Hi all,
I wonder if it would be possible to add an option to exclude oneself from the top giveaway list. The list serves no practical purpose, and only seems to acts as a way to attract beggars. I personally don't need whatever validation one might find in being publicly recognized as being "top gifter of the week" and could certainly do without the people friending me on Steam only to beg me for CD-keys in broken English, so I would be happy to be removed from the list.
