On which of these Routes will you embark?

[Tier 1] Base game suffices. Some extra DLCs aren't wrong either.
[Tier 2 / BTA] I'm not sure if it's worth paying so much more (in comparison to T2) for these extra DLCs, but here I go...
[Tier 3] The more, the better: the longest and the most expensive route for me!
[Have] Looks like a random mix of DLCs that I already own, and some that I don't. I'll settle with the ones I already have though.
[Skip] I am Train-ed to not buy incomplete editions.

This time 6,74 Euro lowest BTA. And price started with 7,97 Euro.
Bundle not for me. If it would be some economic game it could be different:).

My Vote: For some reason, I have the base game already from somewhere. If I didn't, I'd definitely still skip!

Edit: Mystery solved. I have the game bought as "Train Simulator 2020" from a Humble bundle in Feb 2020. iirc it's that game that keeps changing its title every now and then. Edgy stuff!

It changed it's name to the new year, each year, so 2019, 2020, 2021, seems now they just finally settled with Train Simulator..
Atleast it says Train Simulator in the client, Train Simuilator Classic on the storepage. They can't decide.

"Classic" probably means that there is an actual new title coming. Gotta have a reason to sell another 684 new DLCs, right? ^^

Humble can do this for 2 years on straight, so many DLC.

Still they do repeats though.

This game has so many DLCs that they can pick a fresh batch of unbundled DLCs to put in the latest bundle every time.

Any point in playing this with Train Sim World 3 being a thing?

With nearly 700 dlc they still manage to wrap together duplicates from previous bundle.
Anyway, vastly overpriced crap, can't even start to calculate the grand total of all the dlc value since it won't display more than 200.

Damn this game has 1364 achievements... guess tons of them come from dlcs right?

The game has 684 DLCs. Owning all is the real achievement.

does the train sim base key give you different stuff or is it just the same key from now on

If you activated a previous TS version (like the 2020 from a previous bundle), activating this one also activates the bundled DLC.

Going to hinge entirely on whether you're interested in a train simulator or not. I'd say if you're interested at all, it's worth a buck.

question:

already have base game, would like to know if i can give it away or redeem it to get the base game updated? i mean... how to know if they've updated it?

using SteamDB extension says "Depots Update: 27 Oct, 2022 (2 days ago)" but i frankly understood zero on that page:

https://steamdb.info/app/24010/history/

anyway, game is really nice and yes, you get a lot of fun with a buck. more than a steal, played a little lately, is not that easy but really enjoyed its realistic gameplay, a must for train tag lovers!. and if you don't plan to play it, get plenty of CV and fun to be shared with SG.

....is it worth???

The base game has DLC's attached to it that are different from the base game that was bundled last year, so you might want to redeem it again.

I wrote a negative review for this once... Mainly because I personally found it boring and it crashed ><.
A part of the review: If you like trains, this one is for you, although you have to have a big wallet. The DLC for this game is at least $8000,- a total of 446 separate DLC packages... That feels like a scam. You really, really have to love trains or be an Oil Sheik and unsure of what to do with your money. I don't really like driving trains, so this game is not for me.

So if you like driving trains, 1,- is fine... if you don't, I'd skip it :)
