Are Skyrim DLC good?

thanks

Yes. Dawnguard and Dragonborn are very good.

Hearthfire is completely skippable.

The base game has more than enough material to occupy you until the DLCs get a -75% cut.

"The base game has more than enough material to occupy you until the DLCs get ", Im not saying never, but not soon. You see, they were -50% before legendary, during fullprice legendary, during small sales on legendary and even during 66% on legendary. They arent going to be 75% anytime soon, if ever. Buying base game and waiting for DLCs is bad idea.

That makes sense to me. Unless the OP already has the base game. In which case, he should wait for the DLCs to get a bigger price cut, unless he already milked all the contents out of Skyrim and its mods - which is very unlikely.

I had base game too, but bought legendary for 4 keys few days ago. The DLC's would have to drop in price and have 75% sale to match that price. I dont think its worth the wait :D

I have around 200 hours on Skyrim, but I still haven't finished the main story. Too much to do with mods. It's basically a game you can just play forever since the user content just keeps coming in.

At £2.49 for base Skyrim and £6.79 for the whole lot you might as well get the DLCs, too

Hmm...depends on your playstyle. Are you explorer or you just want to finish the main quest? :)

At some point you'll realize the Skyrim story side is unimportant. It's the mechanics/content the dlcs add that you'll want. Just to add more mods. So get the Legendary Edition to have the maximum mod compatibility. Also use Mod Organizer to install mods. Easily the best.

I will tell you what somebody told me, and as far as I know, it's VERY true;
"Don't start Skyrim until you have about 3 months to invest in it", and that's JUST Skyrim, not counting the DLCs or the mods that have been, and will be, created.
I say go for it. If you're a real gamer, then you need to at least try it. I'm not an RPG fan but even I recognise that Skyrim is a "must play" game, if you want to call yourself gamer, that is :P

You're probably better off getting the Legendary Edition, since they are still cheaper together than individually

You can sit and wait for the dlcs to be at 75% and you'll just die of boredom. Sadly, it's just like how companies are today, they force you to get the full pack for a few more bucks. I already had the base game and had to buy the Legendary Edition anyway, no way to get dlcs cheaper, whether it be Steam or cd key webs, the price won't go down.

Man, listen carefully... (I will try to not spoil anything)
-The heart fire adds option to build your house, and to adopt children. Not really fun, maybe house
-The Dragonborn adds new campaning: It's in morrowind! It's very cool
-The Dawnguard adds another campaning: It's about vampires.
The last two are very fun, but heartfire could be better.
I bought a Legendery edition.

I'd say yes simply for the fact that mods sometimes require the DLC, on top of that I think Dawnguard and Dragonborn were pretty good. Hearthfire is okay, but not mandatory.

I decided to buy normal version, because I don't know if I'll have time to play this game lol

You don't know if you'll have time to play it at all, so you got the base game instead of the legendary edition (which isn't that much more expensive.)

I suspect you'll come to regret this decision one way or another. If you don't play it, you'll have 'wasted' your money on the base game. If you do come to play it, you'll regret now having to buy the DLC seperately.

Skyrim turns up on the "this game made me motion sick" list a lot. For a lot of people it seems like it was the first game they'd played to do so.

I'm used to it though, so I always think it's a bad idea to spend any extra to pick up a DLC for a game until I've at least tried it. For the record, even with anti-motion sickness mods, I still can't play Skyrim.

What is the motion sickness caused from? Low FOV or what?
