Yesterday i got scammed by a guy who has a high rep account here in steamgifts.com (+99,-0 now he has +99,-1 from me) & an account on steam with 1,065 games & level 151. He took 20 TF2 keys from me and haven't paid me on paypal till now.
He has a lot of excuses and now he is not responding. His inventory doesnt have my keys anymore (he told me that was a game on sale and he had to buy it!). I have already -rep his account here (with every evidence i have: dialogues, trade confirmation etc).
After all that, i checked his steamrep profil and he is banned there (also he has around 15 alt accounts, but the 1 i trade with has to be the main).
I know that it was my fault that i went first but he was keep telling that he couldnt trust me and send all the money first.
If he wont solve this problem and give me my keys is there any way to take them back? It's not $1-2 it's $40 plus keys are marketable items.
I will wait a bit more and then will report him here, on steamrep and on steam. Can they banned his account, remove the game he bought with my keys or not let them do any trade with other guys? What else i can do to warn other people about him?

First you must relinquish your anger here and make a thread.
Next you must comment at least 15 times about how it was not your fault.
After that you must rage a bit more, unleash and let the hate flow through.
Then you realize, there is nothing to be done and move on.
Never to make a trading mistake again.

Well, long story short, you won't get your items back. I would report him immediately both here and on Steam, here and on Steamrep; Steam probably won't do anything unless he gets reported by a lot of people, Steamgifts has really slow ticket response times and Steamrep is also very slow, but it's worth doing it since most traders check Steamrep and it will prevent other people from falling for his scams, also another thing is that if someone wants to check his profile on Steamrep, even before he is banned he will have a Pending Reprts warning.

I'm sorry to see that you've lost so many keys, it really sucks, but you really shouldn't have gone first since you have a lot more rep than him and the fact that he has a high level alt account should have been a huge warning in itself.

Nope. Now, had both traded items at the same time and they went bye bye because of whatever reason, they should help. Him sending the keys will be considered a gift, and Valve won't do **** about it.

Then I don't know what the **** kind of magic you pulled. You confirm its just a gift and that you understand there won't be a refund if something out of the trade window happens.

You could have also just send half the keys, get paid and send the other. Then worse case you would only have lost half.

Be more careful the next time.

well you do realise it's your fault, that's a good start. Would never go first with keys if someone wants to buy with PP and if he talks like "hurr can't trust you etc.", i'd just look for another person to trade with.

Thnx anyone that gave me any advice and useful information. Thnx too, anyone that posted "smart messages" with no point. Hope that everyone will be more careful than me and avoid being scammed. The guy will be reported and hope that will be at least trade banned in order not to steal from other people in the future!
