Have you ever recruited a new user for SG?
I am not sure if it is a good thing another casual gifter being here.

I remember discussing SteamGifts with my online friends on Skype (especially the $100 Steam account value requirement), but I don't really consider it "recruitment".
Also, I highly recommend playing Hexcells for anyone who hasn't heard of it yet. It's like a cross between minesweeper and Sudoku.

Unfortunately a leech can be any level on SG for example it can be a level 0 or a level 8 or 9.
For the bulk of my giveaways I use SGTools with amongst other a simple ratio requirement.
And of course I use my blacklist so the worst of the worse SG leeches are weeded out. :3

i do not think i ever have recruited anyone to this site. and personally i was recruited by google xD

We spent some time trying to figure out where we know each other from
this is where i wish they had notes along with the tags. i try to tag people under certain categories to try and help me remb why/where the add came from (examples: "random" "trades" "RLF" "Met In Game") so tagging helps some. but i wish there were a notes are i could type "user was a random add from nowhere" or "user was added from gift sent" =)

That would be a cool feature, although I'm pretty sure I'd be to lazy to use it most of the time :D
But there's so much room for improvements on steam that I think this would be one of the last things they'd add...
Still waiting for the day when I can filter my library by tags instead of only having tags on the store. I mean come on, this can't be sooo hard to implement, right volvo? :P

oh yea, super low priority, and really not all that effective now that i alrdy have 320 users without notes. just something i wish was there since the begging really. and yes OMG, they desperately could use several more sorting options in the client, and that would still be very effective. xD

Nice :3 I recruited a few, one stayed and even level uped to lvl 4 (as for now). Another one, entered only 1 my GA from the event I invited them to. Didn't visit site since then :D

So this dude from my Friend list randomly chats me up about my game collection and suddenly gifts me a few games from my wishlist.
I'm like "alright what's your SG name again, least I can do is put you on my whitelist", and he has no idea what I am talking about.
So i say "Well I don't really remember when we met, I just figured it has to be Steamgifts", but no, he never heard about the site.
We spent some time trying to figure out where we know each other from (I'm still pretty sure we added each other after having a very very close 1v1 match in Brawlhalla, but he doesn't seem to remember that at all), and we're still not sure yet.
But he is now a SG user and surely will soon become
addicteda casual gifter.So if you read this: Welcome to the site dude, hope you have a lot of fun :)
