The typical strategy. First you make a series of posts insulting and inflamatory.

Second, you claim that you have received múltiple death threats.

Third, with the help of some sympathetic journos, you can now spin the situation and play the "victim card" forever for something you have provoked yourself. Nobody is going to dare criticize you in público.

Addendum second part: You just "claim" you have received death threats. But somehow the death threats never go to the police, or you never show them anywhere.

If they received the death threats, obviously it should be comdemned. Now, I hope they show them. Because all the criticism I have seen in reddit or discord has been far more polite than the answers these devs have written

They seem real, so I think those sending the death threats are idiots.

Only, to be fair, it would be better to not uncensor the names, so we could take a look about those users sending the threats

After reading through the Discord and their dev post/article. I started thinking this might be "Outrage Marketing" (being that it's similar to how your strategy works) but still uncertain.

That is true.

Second most idiot thing is raging about a video game that you can buy if you want to. Just because of where it is sold.

Geez, if people can't read the rage in Epic threads and see that on the whole it is a toxic overreacting entitled tantruming baby mess, then I don't know how to get through to them.
