If you try everything you can and nothing you do gets it to work, there is a way to download older versions of games from Steam, but it is a little complicated. Here is the first page that came up when I searched for how to do it. I haven't had to do it for a few years, but it probably still works.

To OP: while it may look like sorcery, I can confirm this kind of manipulations work, I used it a few weeks ago. Be warned that download time may be way more than usual (my guess would be that outdated packages are not mirrored on large bandwidth servers likes the last ones). Also it could be a good idea to backup installation files after downloading, so you won't have to start again from scratch in case you miss blocking new updates for the game.

i dont get it, did any one get this game to work? i tried installing, verify, update my drivers, what else to do to make this game work?
it doesnt even load any more or its stuck at loading screen?
I have a MSI GF thin 9SC Icore 5(its searchable on google for specs)
this game used to work before, after the new update it doesnt work anymore.
i tried googling the problem for back 4 blood no luck so far. seems like people is having this game problem not loading.
