So far I've bought:

  • Watch_Dogs 1 & 2
  • The witcher 3 Game Of The Year Edition
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Siege

(I mostly bought them because these games won't be buyable on other sites (in steam keys))

What have you bought so far?

lego builder harry potter-best when it comes to building!!! i wish they would remake the style and update it
lego island 1 and 2
that old gamecube lego racing game, that was fun
all lego Indianian jones
all lego starwars
first 3 lego batman games
lego marvel superheroes and avengers
lego movie
both lego harry potters
both lego lord of the rings
lego pirates of the Car
Lego City Undercover, wish it had local co-op
blockland, its like lego + minecraft

lego batman came out in 2008 and for its time was great. it doesnt have a ton of gameplay, but what it has is full of substance.
now they halfass lego game and pump them out, filled with bugs.Jurassic world well kinda fun, was the worst when it came to bugs, freezing, crashing, and so on. the 41 hours are for 100%, im a sucker for 100% achvments.

heres my review of the game +You can turn into dinosaurs
+You can shrink all the dinosaurs with a cheat

  • can make your own hodgepodge of a dinosaur
  • sound does not always match up
  • all the bonus levels are running levels, the ones that you move left, right, and jump. Cant jump in all of them
  • about 25% of the game is running levels, not including free roam.
-tons of vehicles that all do the same thing
-unlike most lego games, I didn’t care at all to buy anybody/vehicle, just got them for the powers. Ohh look you got that one guy kevin, Yeahh..... only thing I wanted to get was dinosaurs, you unlock them by finding amber in levels.
    +free roam
  • free roam gold bricks are mostly annoying or boring to get. Almost all of them can be gotten by walking up and doing one thing, or doing one thing, changing person, doing one thing, and repeat until you get a gold brick.
  • only 2 places you can turn into flying dinosaurs, and you only earn two of them.
  • the lego glider wont always pop out when you want it to, and lag time made getting across things a ♥♥♥♥♥......
  • can only turn into big and medium dinosaurs in a few places
  • worst out of all the lego games
buy it if your a huge fan of the movies and you want a Jurassic Park game you can play with your kids.
Not really a no or yes on this, but because of the 40$ gonna have to say no. grab any other lego game

Couldn't agree more and it's about time I grab them in a legal format after literal years have passed since I last played them on pirated copies. This applies to a lot of games, actually. Which is why I'm mostly focusing on classics during Steam Sales. Never bundled, but not forgotten either.

I'm still thinking about getting Divinity OS (great price, but I have a hunch it will be in monthly in the next few months, and it's not urgent for me) or something else, but I successfully hyped myself up with how great games I have in my backlog so maybe I'll act like I bought my old games recently and just be happy with them :P

Got:

• Age of Empires Legacy Bundle

Gonna get:

• Batman: Arkham Knight (still thinking about it, though. Apart from Batman VR, the last Batman game I played was Arkham Asylum)
• Borderlands: The Handsome Collection
• GTA V: Premium Online Edition
• Metal Fatigue
• Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
• Total War: WARHAMMER II (and probably it's DLCs)
• Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (through Humble Bundle monthly, though)

Arkham Knight got a lot of crap for all the bugs (which I haven't experienced any of in my two playthroughs) and for relying on too much car action. I'd definitely get it for the 4,99€ though.

Akrham City is 4,99€ as well. A lot of people to my understanding consider it the best game in the series. Both more than worth the five bucks.

Fair enough! I'll get both. I was just thinking, I did play Arkham City, but just for 30 minutes or so.

If you're thinking about Arkham Knight, do not buy it on Steam.
I was not interested in any Batman game or Arkham Knight itself, I just wanted to play the Batgirl DLC because I started the comics.

Here's a hint,
The Arkham Knight platinum edition,is cheaper as cd-key everywhere than on Steam.
It looks like Keysellers are selling another key as just the Platinum Edition, probably resell a key from a bundle/retail or something under the same name.
my point is... i bought a platinum Edition key I think it was from mmoga (not sure) but i have received a "batman bundle key" which includes all Batman games and all DLCs If you do not have the others yet, try your luck. You have nothing to lose it is cheaper anyway;)

Get and play Arkham City before Arkham Knight, since City is a direct sequel to Asylum (and really good), and Knight is a direct sequel to City. They're both on sale, so you could get both.

I think AA is the best. Batmobile of Knight is fun but it got soooo overused. Obstacle? Batmobile. It's more a batmobile game than Batman game if you ask me.
Still quite fun but would have been better if they toned it down (and for real, batmobile stealth was just... ugh)

Unfortunately I can't find anything of my liking this sale. So I did not buy a thing.
Did buy one game last sale but it turned out to be a very annoying game so I refunded it. Leaving me empty handed for two sales now.

The only game I really want only has 15% what is way to less for a 2 hours short game.

Hah, seems we're quite feeling the same about what Steam has to offer and/or our libraries lately. :)

I'm curious though: what game was it you disliked so much?

I also looked up your wishlist, dear curiousity of mine, to see what you want so much, and I have to agree, it does seem a bit high an asking price for what it seems to offer. Never heard of that one before also. It strikes me as not your typical type of game, amirite? It looks rather ... quirky to me. In a good way actually. I'll keep an eye out for that one from now on ;)

Well we already had the same taste in games so this sounds like a natural sequence to me lol.
When I am out of ideas I sometimes check your wl to find a few more gems so...
I bought The Wild Eternal last sale. It was very long and high on my WL so when it got a good discount I bought it right away (and hated it).
You are right about Stone, it's not 100% my typical game but it has something I can't explain, that's very appealing. And it is casual, story based, lots of humor and no fighting. So definitely 90% Annenouk proof.

I have mixed feelings - a friend of mine really, REALLY loved it after I got it for them for Christmas, but I felt like that dev team's first VN (We Know the Devil) to be a real miss. So we'll see!

Whenever I get around to it, you'll hear about it c:

Out of curiosity, why didn't you like We Know the Devil? (I absolutely loved it and it's nice to see someone else who at least played it)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's been a bit, so anything specific has kind of faded from memory.

I just remember all the emotional beats... not landing, so everything felt kind of rushed and soupy until the girls were all turning into celestial beings and I didn't get why. I found the language and the mystical realism - which I typically LOVE - to be really impenetrable. It was a personal let down for me. Less because of an inherent flaw and more because I just couldn't connect to or engage with it.

Does that make sense?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Makes total sense. I know of someone else who couldn't get into it either because she found the writing hard to understand. Personally I think it might be one of the reasons why I liked this VN so much. Like that part where they tinkered with radios, I know next to nothing about these things and it almost felt like they were doing magic rituals or something (considering the game's symbolism, it might be by design, although I researched a couple things about radios after playing the game and I could understand the technical lingo they were using for my following playthroughs - but a part of the magic kinda died that way :/).

Apart from that I really loved the music. It felt completely suffocating and was really appropriate.

Since Heaven Will Be Mine has a completely different setting, I don't know if I'll like it as much since I'm not really into mechs, but they kept the same artist and the Sailor Moon references so chances are high I'll like it anyway.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I read a glowing review for it from a trusted source, enough that I put it on my wishlist, but I don't really know the dev and haven't played their previous VN. I think it may have a demo on itch.io? I'll have to take a look.
