Over the course of the summer sale, I will be randomly (sorta?) selecting people I see posting on the forums that have contributed at least $50 dollars, and adding them to friends list. I won't say why here, but I just wanted everyone to know so you don't think I'm begging for games. :P
If you receive a random friend request from me, please accept. I won't be begging for games, I do so solemnly swear. :P

I was in an online relationship, about 6 months or so, had to break it off because I couldn't stand it anymore. Didn't do it all too well, I'll admit, but it's so much easier to at least start in a flesh and blood relationship.

I had a similar situation, after about 6 months we got fed up. I flew to visit for 3 weeks, turned out fantastic. Went back home, and figured out a way to move in together. 4 months later and we were living together.

Originally when I met her, I was still swearing off online relationships. Hated 'em and thought they weren't worth anything my entire life, even after meeting her. However after so long of playing an MMO together and chatting daily, I figured might as well. Very glad I did.

Regardless of how you meet people, I've found remembering there is a real person on the other end of the keyboard helps.
