Its called sharing when you opet a forum thread informing people that they can get a free code for a game. When you get 5, 10, 15... codes by yourself and then give them away on public giveaways thats lame.

Did they buy the game? Is it within the realm that wadjeteye intended for their giveaway? These people are taking someone else's intellectual property, without paying for it, and distributing it, more often than not for their intended benefit. To try and justify that is weak and sad.

People informing other people about it and people getting 1 key for themselves is fine.

Someone getting 6+ keys just because he can doesn't help at all.. that's actually why they got pissed and stopped giving away Steam Keys.

Ah. And we all are naive in some field. Usually many.

But to mistake good will for naivety is truly cynical and base.

That's like you getting in a car with me, and me driving so hard that I make you vomit (which I most certainly could for most in short order) or become afraid, and then calling you naive for getting into the car with me in the first place.

Just because I can abuse someone else at any opportunity in a car, it doesn't mean that I should.

Now THAT is lame. Getting free keys and selling them or trading for something of value. That's not fair at all. But some people just have no morality.

Well, the FAQ does mention exploted games, but that goes for when they are listed as exploited.

The developer stopped giving away Steam keys thanks to those "wonderful" people who abused the freaking system redeeming more than one key, so a lot of people couldn't get their key because some other douche redeemed 5 of them.
