I always wonder what kind of idiot feels the need to tag games for children, or generally games they personally don't like, with tags like 'horror', 'psychological horror', 'gore', etc.
But steam is full of trolls ._. Look at reviews and the discussions of almost every game that is not an FPS-shooter, or AAA. There always seems to be at least one person asking why this game is on steam Well, maybe because steam isn't just your personal store? And different people like different games? Hard to believe, I know. or is mocking people that enjoy the game because mentally, they are stuck in kindergarden, or have a small... ego

Whats one to do? some pre-teens will use that tag, it doesn't matter if the meme came after the movie/game or not.
i still find it more helpful even if i end up ignoring a title like chicken little, just by the dozens of games i managed to avoid.

I like tags but when they're applied wrongly I want to blow up Steam's tag database.
"Medieval" - AFAIK there were no dragons or elves in medieval times
"Roguelike" - Isaac was never a roguelike and your Isaac clone is not a roguelike either
"Psychological Horror" - Screamers and stalking monsters are about as related to psychology as shotguns and locked doors are

I'm surprised so far only one person has blacklisted me for this thread. I thought there would be a lot of others who hated my sense of humor to that extreme.
EDIT: Scratch that, up to 3. I wonder if they just hated the humor that much or thought I was some kind of hate-filled monster for this.

"Female Protagonist" xD made me giggle. But yeah when I try to sort my games, some tags can be pretty misleading >.<
I would never want a relation or anything with a girl but if I have to play a game for 200+ hours, I rather see a nice worked out female then a blocky hard male bum bum, but yeah that's just my experience and preference :P

"Female Protagonist" I personally prefer playing a game as a woman than some dude, however, I wouldn't begrudge a game that I have to play a male if it's for story purposes.
And the "Meme" tag tells me that I should probably not buy the game. lol

Tag are so useless on steam and the strategy tag is the worst offender... Seriously, For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands are strategy games according to steam.

"Casual" - Tells me nothing about the game. I mean it describes me perfectly but that's irrelevant.
"Swordplay" - I'll show you a sword.
"Kickstarter" - Literally irrelevant to the content of the game.
"Ninja" - Ninja what? I can say random words too. "Potato".
"Indie" - Congratulations! Most games in existence are indie! Why do we have to tag them? I don't see a "AAA" tag. THAT'S RACIST towards AAA titles!
"Memes" - This isn't even relevant to gaming.
"Funny" - I'm not laughing. giggles
"Cute" - What the BOO! did you call me?
"Female Protagonist" - Games that use these only have between a 4%-33% female playerbase so I have a feeling this is to attract males that like staring at women (Most of them?) since it's clearly not attracting women. Go figure, most girls don't like girls ;) ADD MALE PROTAGONIST SO GIRLS CAN FIND THE HUNKS!
"Anime" - Animes are cartoons not video games. Right? I'm not Japanese I don't know.
I wonder how many persons are going to take this nonsense seriously with this amount of silliness.
