Region restrictions of Dishonored Definitive Edition from Fanatical and GMG

Hey guys! Could you please check SubID of your Dishonored DE if you bought it in one of these shops? I checked SteamDB and it seems there are no region restricted CD keys of the game. But the shops say the opposite. What's up with these weird region locks?

Fanatical - can't be activated in: Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Russia (but not CIS), Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia.

UPD: Bought a copy from Fanatical. Activated as 'Dishonored GOTY', but SubID is 31292.

I'm not sure that it helps, but there are two versions of Dishonored in steam - World Region & RHCP Restricted (Russia-Hungary-Czech-Poland)
they have different ID's
World - 205100
RHCP - 217980

Yes, you are right, and I'm talking about the worldwide version: https://steamdb.info/app/205100/subs/

I can see only 2 subs for that version, both without any restrictions:

Well, this RHCP thing with IDs was a mess from a start. Probably DE is fixed now and keys are not regionlocked.

That's why I asked for SubID. Fanatical says that their ROW version can't be activated in RHCP countries.

Now unless they have some special ROW version that cannot be activated in RHCP countries no matter what, it will work.

I know this for a fact because I myself ran into this issue when buying the game off of Steam and realising that it was one of those RU / gipped version before i got seriously fed up and decided to get the ROW edition from other places and it worked just fine! The ultimate irony when you need to go out of your way if you want the not fucked up version of Dishonored.

Did I mentioned that the RCPH version also doesnt have support for languages such as english or french? Because screw you, thats why /s

If this is the only option Bethesda leaves me and many others to get the game in an easy and legal fashion and not being artifically thrown into the russian country zone, then frankly they can go shove it where the sun doesnt shine.

They pulled off the same with Fallout New Vegas which I also re-bought ,because Im not putting up with being stuck with an inferior version of the game that also has modding issues over being a RU copy vs ROW.

Remember when Gabe Newell said that piracy is a service problem? Evidently Bethesda werent taking notes

I don't know why these stores have such a weird list of restricted regions. That might be a mistake. Or maybe they sell some really old keys and SteamDB doesn't have those subs in the database (is it even possible though?).

By the way, where did you buy your ROW copy?

Bought it from that certain site with the 2 letter and the number which i normally dont endorse using but in that case I decided to make an exception because of Bethesda being full of shit

This is probably just a misunderstanding on their part due to them being provided with both sets of keys. So they've just taken the regions the RHCP keys can be activated in and noted the ROW keys as not being available there. I bought my RHCP version from Fanatical and activated it in the UK with no issues. Th is is the package I received https://steamdb.info/sub/31293/
