Somehow not a part of SCREAM! sale.
UPD: Sorry didn't notice Scream picture above. It's a part of the sale.

I don't think so, it's just a good offer. I don't see any connection between OP and those games after all

Then please explain why OP spreads misinformation and tells us those games aren't part of the sale when the Scream banner is the first thing you see when you open the respective Steam sites.

Most likely a misunderstanding on their part. Shit happens.

Calling it "spreading misinformation" is a wee bit melodramatic don't you think?
Really not understanding the conspiracy theory flavour this comment branch was going down?

Well, opening a thread with a false statement which could have been proved wrong in seconds by visiting the Steam pages raised suspicions of a hidden agenda, debatable of course and possibly exaggerated. I agree, in an ideal, more innocent world where unicorns roam the meadows such a debate wouldn't have erupted.

I'd settle for perhaps a world not poisoned by social media mentality, where we wouldn't attribute the most negative possible interpretation by default when something can be attributed to a mistake as equally quickly as malice, or perhaps where we check before going shoulder-deep. \:3/

These all three games are part of SCREAM, and all are from the same Developer & Publisher, weird coincident.

those were historical lows and highly rated games of the same series, they were featured on the top of the best deals on Ggdeals as well when the scream sale started. Just a good find overall.

However, if you have your doubts, the games are developed and published by Harvester Games, a small studio by two brothers with occasional freelance artists working on individual projects. Both have websites with affiliated projects and there doesn't seem to be any connection between the two:

The OP's steam profile mentions the games they developed.
If you keep talking to people like that, you're not likely to get the answers you [demand].

Bit of a strange leap there.

These are old games and frequently go on heavy sales so the window of believability on random stealth promotion expired a fair time ago tbh.

5) To denote they are a game developer. However they are still able to interact on the forums, which includes deal alerts, bundle notifications, recommendations, etc.

3) Being accused without a compelling reason makes people prickly. The reply being deleted can simply means they realise they flew off the handle.

2) Or a mistake. A thing people are prone to doing, yes, even to strange degrees. In this case anybody looking at the games could easily see they were part of the sale, so that 'agenda' would be massively self-defeating at the very first step and more than likely evoke an opposite reaction, making it very unlikely, coupled with the fact it only makes sense if you also first assume they gain from doing so.

I can see the line you drew to reach your conclusion, but it skipped a vital step where it defaulted to assuming bad intentions before taking a moment to acknowledge how blatant and nonsensical the execution of those supposed bad intentions would have had to be, as opposed to giving the benefit of the doubt, y'know?

It was a real reach, which is why I can get why they apparently responded badly before deleting their own remarks.

Lol people need to chill, that guy has nothing to do with Harvester Games as far as I can tell.
All three games are part of the same universe, so if someone is interested, grabbing all would be a good deal.
Btw Burnhouse Lane is also from the same Dev and his newest game.

This! And let's add, that those games are really good dark adventures.

Bought Lorelai. Owned the other two already and remember enjoying what I played of the Cat Lady. I guess OP's post worked cause I wouldn't have noticed Lorelai on my wishlist otherwise.

Thank you for the heads-up! I own only the third installment of the trilogy and had the first two titles in my wishlist for a long time. Cheers.

Can give my +1 to this. Initially I nearly stopped playing during the 'tutorial' segment, and found the artstyle and logic to be a bit jarring, but I'm SO glad I gave it a chance because it got so real after that section. I trudged through Downfall though it didn't really do much for me by comparison (and technically is a polished remake of a prequel, if I recall?). Bought Lorelai but never got around to playing it.

Time to bump Lorelai up my list, I doubt it will 'finish' the story but more lore is always good.
