They're all dead, there was a horrible accident involving the space cat's space ship and none survived, a terrible tragedy. Just don't tell the users yet, it'd break their hearts, and ruin christmas. /jk, just in case it wasn't obvious enough

I am currently sunbathing in Belize, drinking pina colada with one Victoria's Secret supermodel. Not sure about other mods, though

Just wait and your ticket will get handled eventually. If you made a ticket for the other category there are over 800 open tickets at the moment so it can take some time (at the bottom https://www.steamgifts.com/stats/community/support). Just be patient.

If you're talking about a pending ticket, the usual time for tickets that don't involve rerolling or deleting a GA is, from my personal experience, until I close it myself 6 months later.

The same thing happened to me, I have a giveaway that ended more than a week ago and the winner dont answer and want make reroll and report him on support and had been open for 4 days and no one answers, I had to close it and open a new one to see if someone reads it, I have written other times to support and in the same day they answered, but now days and days go by and no one answers.

It give such thread(s).
Nothing happend besides that the Boss Mod wrote "i/we will look into it", "the mod applications will SOON be handled (6? 8? months ago...)".
(writing words don't do work but the person looks important .... you know such people maybe from your work).

I don't understand this, there are many people who enter the forum daily and can help with basic tasks (reroll or delete giveaways) and tasks that you need to investigate in a deeper way than a higher administrator, but reports accumulate for weeks without answering And in a place where thousands of draws are made, it is necessary to have more people moderating.

The most forum active ones wrote this since around 4 years (maybe more).
Since this time nothing happened besides "big words".
Make yourself thoughts about the size of the interest from the other side ....
The most good, active mods left the staff or are burned out.
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/nrsW7/need-feedback-from-the-moderators-about-spam-comments (Short version: Only one junior mod reacted, none of the blablabla mods appeared because it was clear that it would lead to do some work^^....)
And it needed nearly 2 years till the staff reacted on the autojoiners with their thanks script after we bombarded them with around 300 tickets with evidences that one member and i collected in 3 months of daily work. The result was sadly low with only 90 suspended users (you need 120% sure evidences, 99,9% isn't enough). In the end i gave up with the hunting and the reports, plus other ones around me too, and the result is very visible in the public low level GAs (infested from autojoiners). And on top, more and more, perma suspended users (multiaccounters and autojoiners) come back (and do exactly the same). It's between funny, stupid and sad.
Which lead me to ...

I can only recommend to not invest time into "try to helping" sg in any way because it is wasted lifetime.
Spend your points, don't look left or right, don't think. Finish.

Yes, you're right, you can't avoid the problem of autojoiners or bots, but the fact of creating raffles and you have a problem to claim such as a winner having the game or dlc (this last time it happened to me with a dlc, since steamgifts there is certain content that for some reason does not filter correctly and you already have said game or dlc and if people enter the draw and own it, you have no choice but to reroll), or the winner does not answer or the key is not valid or it is used, in these cases you need moderation and if there is not a group of moderately active mods they harm the creators of giveaways, if the key works there is no problem, but when there are problems for some reason you are involved in a waiting list of weeks No answer trying to solve a problem, which is nothing more than that another person can receive a gift.

The problem that this website has is that it possibly doesn´t have any other website that competes with it, it has been active for more than 10 years and is possibly the best known regarding steam game giveaways, there are some others but they do not even have the fourth part of visits are not so well known, if there were another of the same profile that made the competition, possibly they would take measures to strengthen user support, I understand that doing administrative work for years must burn, but if there are people who don´t want to continue doing this, can let other people help in this work and increase support community.
Perhaps for them to take it seriously it should have a real competition, people who have supported with a lot of contributions here, decide to unite as a group and create an alternative, perhaps from there something will change on this site.

It's not that they haven't been accepted, it's just not been handled yet.
This might absolutely be the truth. But it doesn't feel that way to the applicants.
Imagine applying for a job, handing in your resume and the company tells you "You will hear from us soon", only to never hear from them again. How would you feel?
Rejected. Exactly.
The communication is awful and this from people whose job (on this site) is to communicate. It's just sad.
But thank you for sharing, Pete. Every little bit of information helps.

My critique was not aimed in your direction, Pete. Not at all.
You and I have talked off-site about things much more important than SG and considering those things and everything that happened in the last few weeks, my honest advise to you is: Don't jump back in. Stay a member but don't get involved again. There are more important matters that need your full attention than SG.
And likewise for me, as well.

Write in public GAs that gifters could check their winners with sgtools and showing them different stats about how extreme the autojoining is on sg, and you get the attention from one mod that have nothing better to do as to suspend the writer but not the autojoiners that bombard gifters in each public GA with their automatic "thanks" messages.
But i am not sure if he would like this attention or could care so less as i.
Oh and not from interest if the gifters say thanks or not :-DDDD
Yes, sg is sometimes pure comedy.

Like I said in our cozy corner of the interwebs already:
What's the point being a mod when you're all show and no go?

We don't have ones. We are an autonomous collective.

IMO, decisions have been made over the years that, while being more tolerant of bad behavior / rule-breakers / etc., places a higher burden on mods. More automated or crowdsourced (community-sourced) solutions could have been developed. The result (along with how generally rude and disrespectful a large proportion of humans are in online media) is moderator burn-out.
Just my US$0.02.

One of the solutions to reduce the workload of the moderators is quite simple, if you have been registered for a long time, you have not received infractions for bad behavior and you have carried out a minimum number of draws and a certain time and you already know how the web works, they should enable the giveaway creators themselves to reroll, modify and delete giveaways, this would take a lot of work off the moderators and there wouldn't be so many people waiting for them to fix problems that the giveaway creators themselves could literally fix in a matter of seconds. In the case of reports on more complex issues, the web moderators would be there for fix them.

This thread made me wonder whether a big game release may have had an influence. So I made a study, and as it turns out, at least 4 of the mods having been playing COD:MW2 (the main version or the F2P version) today and yesterday.
In conclusion, the mod volunteer team may need a broader spectrum in regard to what type of game genre is primarily played there by individual mods.
