About 95% of the Universe is invisible.

“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

This book is very good; everyone should read it at some point in their life.

"Neque mittatis margaritas ante porcos" (Cast pearls before swine)

Means offering your generosity or your delicacy to someone who does not know how to appreciate them. It is when you try to offer very advanced knowledge to people who are not prepared to receive it or are not even interested in it.

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

Fun Fact:
Did you know that honey never spoils? Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over 3,000 years old and still perfectly edible! 🍯✨

Hey man, hope you're well. I am beginning my first year in a PhD study. Still young and lots to learn, but there's one quote that has always stuck with me throughout all my years of previous studies thus far; John Stuart Mill wrote: “No amount of observations of white swans can allow the inference that all swans are white, but the observation of a single black swan is sufficient to refute that conclusion.”

It is great advice for research and helps guides you in what to look for. If ever you want to prove something, rather think of solutions to disprove it and test them. If all these solutions fail, then you have proven it. Great approach to life as well.

You move your eyes about 3x a second, mostly without thinking about it, and mostly without being aware that it even happens. Every time this image "moves" it's because you've moved your eyes; the image is static. https://www.npr.org/sections/13.7/2014/03/24/293740555/the-rotating-snakes-are-all-in-your-mind

I mean, I think that's pretty interesting, but I'm also a (former) scientist.
