Recommend me movies like The dead poets society.

As the title says, I'm looking for some movie as deep and touching and any other qualities that can be compared to the dead poets society.
I think I could also include in this category(as a personal view) the movie Saving Private Ryan.

DPS + Saving Private Ryan = does not compute.

Master & Commander - The Far Side of the World, also by Weir, is in my opinion thematically close to DPS, but grittier. Excellent movie.

Magnolia (1999) is a fantastic and touching film, I'd highly recommend it.

My mum worked in a restaurant called Magnolia in Lisbon, so it's now a must see for me :P

The plot sounds interesting. I'll totally see it, as long as I find English subtitles :P
