I saw this same idea used by a vet two towns over.
The turtle can only use it's front legs, since some asshole broke the other two. Though he glued the new wheels to the turtle.
And now the turtle is able to speed through it's new digs... and has a new, good owner.

it sure is.
as to this case, it is unknown why someone did that. the vet thinks the turtle was smash against a hard surface, broke the legs and damaged some nerves. so the turtle couldn't really move and even lost it's will to live, since it no longer ate... after some nice guy found it. but now the turtle is healthy and full of live...

I think that's a Red Eared Slider.
Fun Story:
One night, the sky was particularly generous with rain. The next morning, when I went to take out the trash, and I saw something in an (previously) empty bin. In about 7 inches of water, floated a turtle. I know of cats and dogs raining from the sky but that was just ridiculous. I kept him for a few days, made sure he was okay, and set him free in a park with other Red Eared Sliders. Turtles ♥.

It's not a red eared slider, they have larger red markings around the "ears". I actually have a red eared slider here, it's my own old lady (she's a good 5 years older than me, and I've had her for most of my life).

Apparently zoos and drive-through bear/animal parks are extremely popular in the Dakota's - who knew? Tomorrow, I will cross off yet another state - leaving me with four before receiving my 100% achievement badge :-) Plus I am researching outdoor dining options in Wisconsin so the hubby can add that state to his list. He'll be one short of 100%... meh - how did I miss Vermont and Michigan? I mean Hawaii and Alaska are understandable - but Vermont? Sheesh, walking around naked is legal there! :-p

I was in a giving mood yesterday. First I wanted to create a troll topic about how I never win. But everybody can see with a quick look at my profile that this is just not true (although I feel like the Spacecat doesn't love me like she used to anymore). Everybody who posts me a unique picture of an animal will be either put on a temporary whitelist or be invited to a special group (I have not yet decided about that part, it's still morning, I just got up), and I will give away a nice non bundle game to those lovely people.The rules are:it has to be a unique animal, nobody else has to have posted a picture of it before you.
