Damn, now I fear they only select as winners those who have wishlisted games that have already been given for free in the past.
Not that I'm actively participating.. nothing changes for me even if that's the case :p

The bad thing at it is that she had the normal version since years and can't remember if the GOTY Version was still in the wishlist and she overseen it for years at her 300 games and programs wishlist or if something went wrong.

I believe you can only add the normal version to the wishlist, on Steam. If you add the GOTY, it adds each individual item (base game + each separate DLC). Thus, the end-result would always be having the base game as first.

Nice dude! Some people will probably question your choice of game since it's a fairly cheap one (especially with the sale) but Furi is such a good game. Enjoy!

This might be half the reason he won. My guess is it's not completely random. Otherwise Steam would be giving away 300 copies of Cyberpunk 2077. They might be "picking" winners that have cheaper games at the top of their wishlist.

Well that's kind of cynical and probably untrue considering they're saying the games that were given away the most were Cyberpunk and Sekiro. And pretty much everyone I saw posting about it on reddit got Cyberpunk too

Great minds think alike! The other day our local supermarket had a daily competition to win your shopping for free, and they had a picture of the dude who won on facebook the one day.
