Left 4 Dead is ideal - one for each team member, and one for each special infected. Can repeat for Left 4 Dead 2, with new specials.

Payday or more likely Payday 2 would work well in the same way.

I've heard people want Skyrim.

And maybe some more indies like Hotline Miami, Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy.

What do you think?

Garry's Mod Binding of Isaac Fortix! Those are just few I want at this moment :D
Anyways this is just more money for Valve but maybe we'll get HL3. But whats that character at the end of HL?

Garry's Mod would be a great one. Although I'm not sure what the subject of the cards would be. Maybe humorous things like "Chair", "Explosive barrel".

Batman: Arkham Asylum or Arkham City would be awesome. I'd even spend my money to get those games level 5 badges.

I feel like L4D2 and Binding of Isaac fit the Steam trading card theme pretty well.

A virtual card game, in which the object is to acquire virtual objects for use in a virtual a hat simulator, should get virtual trading cards attached to it? That's a bit too meta for my head... And who would want a Poker Night @ The Inventory badge?

I couldn't care less about cards or badges, but so far I got 4 games for all my Don't Starve, Borderlands 2, Half Life 2 and Portal 2 cards, so bring it on steam!

For now it should be games that are already relatively well known, but need a little boost. Also games that have a good community and dev team. I think the current choices (And the upcoming new waves) are spot on, with the possible exception of BL2. Did it really need the sales/player boost from cards?

Awesomenauts would be a good example of a game that's pretty well known, but a boost wouldn't hurt at all.

As a counter example, Terraria would be a poor choice. While many people enjoy it, and it's relatively well known, the developer is far from committed to the game and only recently released a patch to help promote his new game. Another poor choice would be something like Analogue: A Hate Story. While a great game with a great developer and community, the game fits far too narrow a niche and does not need any kind of boost to help it along.

I'd kill for fallout cards, ideally Fallout 3 ones.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent would be awesome with a card for each monster and/or levels (Main Hall, Prison, etc...)
