Nothing as it's impossible to earn a full set by playing. Not only that, the cards that you can obtain without paying/trading only drop over "time" and you can only get them once. Meaning all you need to do is let the game run for a few hours while you are away eating at McDonalds... the whole thing is a money grab instead of a fun activity that extends older games lifespan..

You sell them, good for you.
But someone who wants badges only gets around 10% of cards required for badge level 5, so he need to either trade away rest of his cards to get it, trade some other stuff (losing some money) or give Valve few bucks (along some random people on Internet).
Valve could "fix" this problem saying for example "there will be restarts", but they are more than happy with all that money they get and just don't care about building community along those cards, just get as many games into system so people will buy more of them.

It's called trading cards. What sense would there be if they would give you all the cards you need to craft the lvl 5 badges? Its still in beta,we do not know if there will be more series or other possibilities to aquire cards.
Valve is giving free stuff
You want more
You are the greedy bastard here.

It would be fair if there would be only one level of badge, or they would restart with each craft. Current system is made only for Valve wallet.
If someone is giving you wheels with note "you need to trade to get rest of car and you won't be able to get it all without buying parts on market, oh, and here's OUR shop that allows you to buy it" that's not free.

It is free. No one forces you to craft badges,no one forces you to participate in the beta,no one forces you to use the cards in any form.
Or,if you want your wheel example, Before you had nothing, now you have 4 wheels. They may be not of any use for you,but even if you give them to others you dont lose anything.
If you want your badges so hard then you have to make a tradeoff...either invest money or trade a few of your cards to complete one or two badges.

Yes, no one forces me. And I'm not planning to participate more in it and I'm just sad there's no form where I could write "I want those cards out of my profile because it's shit that was made so Valve would know who are their richest fanboys". This cool idea turns out to be one big rubbish made only for Valve wallets - and because it was cool idea, that's why it pains me so much to see how crappy it turned out to be.

Left 4 Dead is ideal - one for each team member, and one for each special infected. Can repeat for Left 4 Dead 2, with new specials.
Payday or more likely Payday 2 would work well in the same way.
I've heard people want Skyrim.
And maybe some more indies like Hotline Miami, Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy.
What do you think?
