So I find getting achievements and perfecting games to be extremely satisfying. What I was to know is if there is a way to get your achievement progress on one or all of your games in your steam libray reset so you can unlock them again. Thanks

no, since it's not a problem, it's like a "law" it's been there since forever, give it a shot, IF they respond, the chance will be pretty low

Funnily enough, uPlay support has no issues doing that for their games.

You can't reset achivements.
Also, people should never use SAM because it ruins the fun and makes you look bad.
Theres expections though:
For example, the Black Rose(TF2 weapon)is unobotainable in some countries such as Russia due to game being region locked,so people sometimes use SAM for those puporses.

I like achievements but doesn't pay attention while playing, I look at them after or sometimes before I start a game. Can't believe I missed ONE audio log during my Bioshock Infinite gameplay... I wanted that achievement. Anyway I will play the game again in the future to try out the 1999 mode.

About your question, I just don't know ._.

i like achievements,i try getting all of them if i can but in some games its takes to long to unlock them.
an example is The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing where there is an achievement for killing 500k monsters and you only get around 20k per run.
of cource there is always the SAM but i prefer doing them in my own.

There is a way to reset achievements.
You would have to use the program "SAM". As achievements are stored client side this program uses that to add or takeaway achievements of any game you own. From what I understand, this won't result in any bans so long as it's not used whilst in a VAC game. It's probably not worth the risk and a lot of people dislike those who use it for whatever reason.

I don't get the obsession with achievements. Achievements have never even motivated me at any point in life.

I used to play most of my games offline since I didn't care for the whole necessity of logging in and using the interface when my internet connection was spottier. Now there are some games I specifically play to get achievements, but not as much as some. I admire people with that as a goal, but mine are different:)

I like Xbox achievements better since you get an actual representation of what you have "achieved" through Gamerscore. I usually try to unlock as many achievements as possible unless it's a major grindfest and would take forever. However, sometimes I wish there were no achievements at all so we could go back to playing games purely for fun without thinking of performing certain tasks to unlock achievements.

I've never actually seen someone brag about achievements.

I've known a few people to use achievements to try and find as much as possible when they're done with the main game though. Like a check list for Easter Eggs, side quests, collectables and such.

It's more popular on consoles, with Platinum Achievement on PS (which you get for getting all other achievos) and achievement-score on Xbox.

On PC, we have Steam Levels to show our ePenises.

Ah consoles, which tend to be bought as distractions for children. Makes sense.

Steam levels are equally as meaningless if not more so because it's pretty much a giant meta P2W.

I only want to accomplish them on games I love and actually am good at, not on games I play casually or to relax.

Just create a new Steam account and use family sharing to share all your games with it.

Don't mess with SAM.
