Do you blacklist people who don't thanks when they win your giveaway?

Of course not. There are worse things than that in life, trust me. xD

I can't blacklist people for not playing their wins. You never know how much time someone has or may not have.
Right now I don't have much free time so I'm doing more Portal 2 Community Chambers than anything.

The only things I have blacklisted for so far are the following:
Cheating on a puzzle
Using an automated script / program to get keys.
Exploiting Unlucky-7 / Other Groups
Or if they've blacklisted me (I've had some people I look up to BL me without telling me why)
And if someone is constantly a dick, they probably deserve to be blacklisted.
But if someone is just upset over something (like levels being lowered), they don't deserve it.

I don't join giveaways of good games If i don't intend to play it.
Motives:
1 - I collect cheap games
2 - I make money selling the cards
3 - with the money I craft badges, buy games I want and make new giveaways.
Of course it's more profitable to get a job. But I want to play and study. I don't want to work in a shitty job for 8 hours every day.

oh common Mully, if everybody do that 99.999999999% of SG member will get BL from 99.999999% of the GA creator

I try not to thank people for a single giveaway. If there's a train of giveaways I'll thank you.
If I win you can be damn sure you're getting thanked.

Well, it's not a rule like "If a winner doesn't thank you, you have to blacklist him." That would be ridicolous and leading to mandatory thanks for winners at least.
But it's imho just fair that a creator would like to have a little "human" feedback (meaning not just marking it as "received"). And if it doesn't happen, he might react like he wants including BL him.

It's only not weird if you're doing it to your own <5 year old child.
What could you possible get out of someone thanking you, that was told to thank you?
If it's not genuine then it's useless anyway.

actually i look like those phrases like the user doesn't care if you don't but it would be appreciated. if that's what was said, that maybe why some people don't bother.
i still do ofc on wins though.
edit: ohh. i kinda skipped the op and only went of title and poll. that case scenario is a little weird imo too.

Yeah, it kinda turns a gesture of gratitude into a fulfillment of an obligation.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Depends on what mood I'm in and whether I really care at that moment or not.
I messaged him A thank you would be appreciated and I was completely ignored.
Honestly, I'd personally would ignore that too. I actually think it's a bit rude to ask someone to thank you (it's also rude to not say thanks, but you could just leave it be)...

I only blacklist people who blacklist me first. However, if I were to giveaway a major AAA title, like say GTA V or Fallout 4, and the winner didn't thank me, I'd blacklist the shit out of them. And if for some reason, I decide to check to confirm they actually added the game to their library a few weeks later, and I noticed they didn't even play the damn game, I'd un-blacklist them just to blacklist them again.

Eh, it's always weird when people win something and never commented anything. I usually only blacklist if there's a second reason, f. e. a really bad ratio. I don't think that lack of thankfulness/communication would be enough for me to blacklist someone instantly.

i only blacklist people for 5 reasons:

Pardon my curiosity, but did that thing from the first paragraph (5 different thank you's in the same second) really had happened?
Comment has been collapsed.
i had someone send me 4 thank you's couple of days ago with a difference of 1 second between those "thank you for the game", 4 different ones in 4 different giveaways that ended (i did the otaku gib of x20 to everyone) and he commented that 4 times in 1 second.

And I see that those were the level 5+ giveaways, so a user must've had to give away a reasonable amount of games themself. Well, that makes it even more sad :(

Nope, not just for that.
But I might for a combo like: they don't thank + have a horrible ratio + take 3 days to mark as received yet still hang around online during that time. That's just rude. It's like "maybe I looked at the key, maybe I didn't, maybe I'll activate the game, maybe I won't, and after that I won't be bothered to type a couple of nice words" :s Manners, eh 👀

A little piece of courtesy should be expected, but blacklisting is something that I barely use these days.

Are you even sure who won the giveaway was a person and not a script?
Comment has been collapsed.
A script user might be a good indication for the lack of a simple thanks. Think of auto-join scripts.

increasing? is that a fact? where can i read that up?
Comment has been collapsed.
did i find the right group? not even 2000 people in there. that's nothing compared to our userbase. if that's all, we can basically safely ignore it. ^^

Considering the actually active site userbase is far lower at likely no more than 50k and a big amount of botters certainly won't publically join such a group (plus there certainly are more other scripts too), makes that number not that small anymore.
Looking how cg deployed counter-measures on a bigger scale at least twice, he certainly doesn't ignore them.

A thanks is appreciated, but I have never blacklisted anyone and dont think that is a good reason.

I still have not a single person on my blacklist. I have some I would want to blacklist, which I might, for either breaking rules, or being total dicks on the forums.
But, there are far too trivial reasons people blacklist for, such as: not saying thanks, not activating within 24 hours, winning a game (to prevent the same person winning more from 1 creator), etc.

Usually I don't blackllist anyone for this motive, But a guy just won another giveaway of mine, and didn't say anything.
I messaged him A thank you would be appreciated and I was completely ignored.
