What is the best anime you have ever seen?

My favourite anime is Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, I watched it about a year ago in one sitting.
Can't really say much about it, it just has everything I love in an anime executed in a peculiar way that I enjoy :)

That kinda depends...
Best Anime Movie: Gall Force: Eternal Story
Best Anime Series: Gundam Wing

I'd agree with Higurashi as well, though. It started out so cute then got really messed up, it was a wild ride!

Gintama and Steins;Gate
Those two will change your life xD
(I want to say FMA too but three people already said that)

Note : Higurashi game just released on steam, a few days ago
Well maybe you already knew about it

Definetly knew about it :) I bought it for the sole purpose of getting the emoticons, bgs, and badges.
And to play it with the ps2 sprites(waiting for the mod) after I finally decide to watch Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai(I know, it's a shame I havent watched it yet, but I believe that waiting 1 year will be worth it(gonna watch it this or next week finally!!) :)

Thanks though.

Yeah you're welcome :)
Mod? Higurashi with mods? Wow I can't imagine that xD
(Sorry maybe I didn't catch what you mean)

You should check those other two, well both of them aren't horror though (But Steins;Gate is a thrilling thriller xD)

Prepare to be astonished xD

I watched Steins Gate up until about episode 3 last year and dropped it for some reason.

I'll watch in one sitting once I have a free weekend :)

And by mods I mean a mod that replaces the new sprites(that I find to be really bad) with the PS2 sprites from the PS2 higurashi games.

I did that with the Higurashi (and Umineko) visual novels (albeit non-steam versions) - swapped the graphics with PS2 versions.

Defaults are very ... "chunky"
Like....

This - Original Versus This - PS2 Graphics

Or an even better version, 1 image - same scene, comparison top to bottom.

I know right?

The new Steam version really looks weird af. The only reason I bought it is because there will be decensorship mods and sprites mods with the PS2 ones. And the bgs ofc :)

Yeah, I know that feeling
Steins;Gate just boring at first
But then at episode 12 or 13
The mindblowing things will begin xD

Ah because PS2 ver is better?
Maybe you have search outside steam? Steam probably won't provide this things xD

I gave very few 10 on my MAL list so would have to say that in the first place we have a draw between: Gintama, Death Note, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
If we were talking about manga would be without 0 doubt One Piece.

I don't really have a number 1 per say - too many different genres so kinda hard to compare.

For the sake of answering only one anime, I'll have to go with Welcome to the NHK

Bet you expected me to say Hellsing Ultimate, didn't you? :P

Chose that because it hasn't been mentioned yet and I feel like more people need to watch that one =P

Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D both opened my eyes to an entire world I never knew of when I was younger, and led to Akira, which got me hooked forever.

Of the series Kaiji is clear winner. Movies are bit more difficult to choose but I'll say Totoro since it's the movie I've watched several times.

There are too many good animes i can give only few examples: Sword Art Online (first season only, second is....crap), Mirai Nikki (why only i wrote this?), Steins Gate (beginnig is boring but next, just ofmg), Angel Beats (the only one anime where i cried) and maybe for finish Durara (i can say only IIIIIIIIZAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, who watched knows). This is only examples i can write even more :P
