It's apparent the community has mixed feelings about the Steam Winter Sale. But we all know that we have several options for buying Steam games (Amazon, GMG, Humble Store, etc).

I've been watching a lot of deals lately, but apparently I wasn't watching close enough:

I just found out that you can get Alien: Isolation on GreenManGaming.com for 50% off, plus you can use the discount code DECEMB-202014-GREENM to get another 20% off, bringing it down to $20. This is also true of the Season Pass: 50% off, and you can use the discount code.

So to buy both RIGHT NOW would cost $32.

Trouble is, the coupon expires at 16 UTC (in 4 hours!).

The deal on Alien Isolation is 48 hours, but I don't know when it started. If it's not on the front page when you pull it up, just search "alien isolation" in the GMG search bar.

Also, there's often a coupon available at GMG, so there may be another in time for all I know.

According to the rules, posters are not allowed to post referral links, but I will say I happen to have one for GMG--obviously, I can't post it here.

Anyway, I felt compelled to share this deal, in case anyone was anxious to get this game at the best price currently available.

Aside from Aliens, GMG has been having a Winter Sale of their own. Every 24hrs two new Deal of The Day. One is general, and one is specifically for indie titles. The cool thing, though, is that it looks like they're giving Playfire Rewards for the games on sale! New Rewards Posted Today, 12/19

Right now you can earn Rewards for playing LEGO games, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, Bastion, Alien isolation, Gauntlet, and Tomb Raider!

Anyway, as the sales continue, post your GMG finds here. Hell, we have threads like this for Steam--might as well.

Apparently that coupon also works on Tomb Raider, which is 75% off, and Gauntlet, which is 50% off.

the problem with GMG is their playfire reward system - gmg credit earned via rewards DOES NOT STACK with any extra vouchers applied

that said, if you have real money instead of gmg credit, it can be a viable alternative :)

True, you can't use coupons with credit, but you just gotta work the system to the best of your advantage.

I earned over $20 of credit between June and now. Just before Valkyria Chronicles came out, they started running VIP specials for people who'd bought from them before. I was able to pre-order VC for $13.85 of credit.

Got a new game for free, and still had plenty of free credit left over. Incidentally, I later got The Banner Saga for $5 credit.
