Me and a buddy are looking for a new coop game, so we stumbled upon 7 Days To Die.
Has anyone bought and played it yet? If so, is it any good?

It reminds me of WarZ a little bit, but seems fun.

Wait something that reminds you of WarZ can make fun? D:
The "little bit" have to be very very very very little then

You've never played War Z or Infestation Stories and jumped on the hate wagon. While War Z was complete shit when it came out (I was there, in the great flashlight wars) It's never been a terrible game. It's fun with a group of friends.

So everyone who don't like a bad game is just a hater, alright.

Flaslight wars, don't forget those invisible zombies, nor the 1 shot kill from hackers, nor those glitching zombies that could walk through walls, etc, etc, etc, etc, I was there too, hated it, bought the Legendary pack... shame on me

"A buddy and I are looking..."

Well since the verb is "are", it implies that the noun is plural first person, so does it actually matter whether or not Loup uses "me" or "I"?

The easy check (at least for a native -- don't know if it sounds wrong to non-natives) is to rewrite it with one person (altering the verb to suit is cool) and see if it sounds wrong...
Original: "Me and a buddy are looking for a new coop game"
A buddy: "A buddy is looking for a new coop game" -- ding! that part's already good.
Me: "Me am looking for a new coop game" -- sounds wrong.
Me: "Me is looking for a new coop game" -- might fly in IRC chat, but nope, still sounds wrong in real life.
I: "I am looking for a new coop game" -- ding! winner!

A situation where "me and a buddy" is better: "They were looking for me and a buddy."
"They were looking for a buddy." works and "They were looking for me." works, but "They were looking for I." doesn't sound right.

It doesn't matter. we might still die in 7 days for replying to the initial comment to the posting of the question that created replies in the form of comments (or replies) *delete as appropriate, which thus means, death occurs approximately 7 days from now. Or thereabouts, approximately sometime around then. The possibility of not dying in 7 days after posting replies (or comments) could only possibly happen if we were to still be able to reply (or comment) to comments (or replies) to questions (or comments or replies) posted. Thus avoiding the catastrophe altogether. Or we die in 7 days, from not posting questions or commenting or replying to questions, comments or reply's posted. It's a vicious circle.

I have never tried it but it looks pretty bad. I would suggest War Z (Infestation: Survivor Stories) instead, or ARMA 2:CO and play Day Z if you can run it.

Or maybe wait for the standalone DayZ (if it ever comes).

it's an iffy game to start off with but once you get going it's quite fun. Not the prettiest thing in the world but it's definitely got the survival thing right and it's tense as hell once night comes, especially if you're in a barely safe building. Watch a few videos before buying but I enjoy it and I'd recommend it.

I'd like to be the crazy here to point out I got the Alpha and love alpha .1 up till 2.0. I mean the game physics now are great (like mine craft but without being able to build unrealistically. Right now I'd say wait, but don't right it off. I don't like some of the changes to the game. . . Though due to it being in Alpha I'll let that slide.

I'd say if you question. . . Don't. . . I like it, but I watched many let's plays to decide if I liked it or not.

If you want a coop game, a survival one, I would suggest you to get Rust, it's quite fun, but care with everyone, NEVER TRUST

You can always try No More Room in Hell if you want a co-op zombie game. It's free and it's on Steam.

I like the game so far. I was a backer on this project since the kickstarter. It has its flaws but is still in alpha so hopefully those will be fixed before full release.

I've played it with my friends and it was really enjoyable. I haven't played the later releases of their betas but it has a lot to offer. Building up your defenses can be quite tiresome because night time is when the zombies becomes very offensive. It takes a whole lot of your time which night falls. That is when I just afk at a house for 10 minutes until day time comes.
