Stayed pretty steady for me in the UK. Although I remember around 01/02 it used to be £20 not £30(now £37). So its obviously increased over the years.

Having just got 17 after not touching the series for a few years, I can't see any reason to get it. The steam workshop makes buying yearly seem less necessary.

Wow wow, let's not go to far Football Manager PR agent guy :p Dota 2, CS:GO and PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS are in the top 3, with far more players. But yes I'm quite surprised Football Manager is this popular to be honest. Now my first post makes me look like a total asshole :p

CS:GO and Dota 2 (together with PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS) are actually constantly in the top three and have 1000% more players than Football Manager or any other game in the top 10. Football manager is around number 6 or 7.

Combine 16, 15, 14, 13...the only games that beat it are DOTA and CS:GO usually. Last I checked FM had more titles in the most played 100 than any other series. I think there was 3 in there before The Witcher 3. Also FM17 is now outdated, i'd imagine it will be safely in the top 5 for 6-8 months once released.
Edit: and now probably player unknown battlegrounds will probably beat it to 3rd spot.

Well you can't really combine other games since it would be a an unfair comparison to games that only have one game released. Football Manager can't get in the top 3 since the games there have ten times more people playing them. We'll just have to see what happens when it get's released, though I feel your slightly over-optimistic :p

Only in the last few years has it started to be beaten out, you really have underestimated the popularity and size of FM....will it be top 3? Probably not now the esports boom has taken over, look at the historics though, its always and will always be up there in amongst the big guns, from top spot to top 3.
Probably 4th this year as I had forgotten about Player Unknown Battlegrounds.
The point is, its a yearly title and its insanely popular with a ridiculous fanbase, your initial comment ergo, was way off the mark.

You get touch as standard with the purchase of standard. Used to be in the same game, only got separated last year I believe.
