IMPORTANT QUESTION!

I'm considering buying a USED physical copy of GTA V.
Will I still be able to play it, or it really needs a steam code which I assume was already used by previous owner?

That I don't know.
But I think the only way to get the Steam version is from the Steam itself.

EDIT: If I had to guess - it probably requires a DRM of some sort, so I would say it's not the best idea.

You have to check first The DRM: If is steam or Rockstar. In both cases the user probably activated the code.
So you probably can´t play.

Don't buy it.

It's not worth it since you can't play. And even if it's the Rockstar version and you crack it you're limited to singleplayer.
Besides...having to do that for a game you're buying makes no sense.

physical copies have rockstar club codes, if previous user has activated it u cant activate it. also this is necessary to play gta online, if u want steam achievements u need to buy it from steam. rockstar has its own client for gta games
