So I just updated my Nvidia drivers to 327.23 (I'm using a GT 630M by the way) which seems to be recommended for its stability, but now, when I run the GeForce Experience, it keeps popping up with a box saying "New updates are ready" giving me the option to install the newest driver which is apparently quite unstable, but no option to cancel and proceed to the GeForce Experience. Closing the box through task manager closes the whole program. Any idea on how to bypass the automatic updates?

preferences - updates then uncheck the box

what's so hard about that?

EDIT: Why don't you just update, the new Shadow Play feature seems awsome

I wish it was that simple. The update box opens up, not the main program window, thus I don't have access to the settings. Also, I don't think my graphics card is compatible with Shadow Play, unfortunately. :/

I see what he is saying since I've not updated the drivers recently on my GTX 470 SLI pair yet.
If one tries to start the GeForce experience in any way it pops open the window to let you know new updates are available (even if updates have been disabled {as I always do}) with the info about it and a single button of install. No way to get into the main app.
Most settings can still be reached through the nVidia control panel which is where I tend to go for my settings anyway so hadn't noticed.

ShadowPlay is disabled if you don't own an appropriate card, stop worrying and just update.

I can only suggest you use whatever the program says you should use. I don't know where you got the story of instability, but they fixed that 1 day after the previous driver's release.

I have that same card, the GT630M, and when I boot GeForce Experience it just says it's got an error and closes. The wierd thing is, if it automatically opens, e.g. after downloading new settings, I can alt tab into the actual program and it works fine, even if the error message appears. It seems Nvidia just don't like the 630M or the actual program is rebelling. Be worried.

I have the same card as well. GeForce Experience works fine for me. I'm using the newest stable drivers which have actually been pretty stable. My suggestion is to try disabling the updates through nVidia Control Panel (maybe they both carry the same function?) or do a full clean reinstall and try again.

Got the 630M, and to this day I still think of Experience as the single most useless piece of software on my machine. I like how they list "Game Optmisation" as a feature which in fact it ends up ruining my perfectly good setups which balance performance and speed WAY better than nVIDIA seem to be able to. They also underestimate the card.
