UPDATE: I made a mistake and did not add that it is LEVEL 3! Sorry, don't do this sort of thing often. Also overwhelming response for someone who avoids socializing. Will try to reply to all thank you

I have like 25 people on my whitelist, lost my job over a year ago and money is tight but after finally winning Convoy today I cleaned out for Steamgifts. If you'd like to be on my whitelist just say so, maybe give me encouragement to get through my depression from losing my brother on Christmas 2016. Or tips for getting back into blogging when there's a mental block, or whatever really. :)

All from Humble Bundle. Many are free, sorry! I was hoping to clear out my keys and give them to anyone that missed their chance. :) I don't believe there are any region restrictions but please allow me to delete if region or humble bundle deleting old keys issues occur. Hope you enjoyed the ride! :)

YES thank you. This is something I've avoided and reading it kind of makes it seem possible. Thank you. The job brings sadness but in time that will fade. I know that, I understand it, but I don't want that. I want my best friend alive. Thank you all the same, I'll get there.

Not interested in the whole whitelist thing, just wanted to pass along my condolences for the loss of your brother a while back. Lost my sister, one of her daughters, and her husband in the space of 4 years (2 in the last 5 months), so I'm definitely feelin' ya. The upcoming holidays are terrible for reminding us of things like that, but you just gotta keep your chin up and keep moving along. That's what they'd want, right? Your brother would want you to be happy and healthy. Pretty sure of it. ;)

Cheers and best of luck with the writing. I don't write much myself, so no tips or anything, unfortunately. :X

I don't think there's a proper recepy to get out of this mental state, but even getting back into writing could help you out, so I'll try to focus on that one. Personally, I make poetry when I can't write nothing else. Poetry feeds on fragmented thoughts, lost words, emotions.
I found this italian movement that shares poems in the street of my city, you could see if there's something like that where you live.

I feel you, sounds like the story of my life. Fortunately enough, I share this passion of mine with my best friend.
You should really look for that kind of group in your hometown, I feel like that is something that could really lift your spirit and keep you engaged, also, that could be a great boost for both your mood and inspiration.
I'll leave you with a book suggestion and a poem (that if I find a good english translation) :
the first is Memoirs of Hadrian by Marguerite Yourcenar, namely the best modern book I've ever read. My best friend gifted me this book a couple of years ago, and I couldn't help falling in love with the complex yet human main character. This is truly a masterpiece and a book that you need to reed multiple time during your life, having each time someting new to offer.
I know that is a biographical novel and probably not everyone's cup of tea, but if you give the old emperor a shot, you won't regret it.

Also, the poem. This is by Alda Merini, an italian poetess that lived half a century ago. She suffered a lot during her life, also experimenting for sometime the rough life of asylum. I doubt you'll find her books outside my country, but...
Here's one of my favourite.

Poets work at night
when time does not urge on them
silent when the noise of the crowd
and ending the lynching of hours.

Poets working in the dark
Clubs like hawks or nightingales
the sweetest song
and fear of offending God.

But the poets, in their silence
do more noise
a gilded dome of stars.

Alda Merini

Eh... it's not easy at all to say anything to someone with such a loss. You know, I mean, we all know who's gone is gone. The sorrow cannot be taken away from those who loved him/her, but one should carry on. Your brother wouldn't want you to be depressed too much.

I would like to apply for your WL. With writing, the one thing that helps me getting unstuck is to write a tiny amount of words every day. When I had a really rough time, I had a task to write just 10 words every day. This didn't produce a lot of great writing, but gradually led me to feel being able to write again. You can raise this amount of daily words gradually with time, or you can leave it at a very low value forever. The important thing in the beginning is not to write a lot, but to establish a writing habit.

I would like to join the WL, even if I won't join the GAs (i'm lvl 2). When you lose someone, you need friends, a lot of them. you can't replace someone but you can think of them by sharing and receiving love. be kind with everybody and I think the lost ones will appreciate.

The best advice I've seen for when things are piling up is use the 10, 10, 10 (10 10 10?) rule.

Will it matter in 10 minutes? (Spilled a cup of coffee.)
10 days? (Missed a football game on tv)
10 months?

It helps to put things in perspective on those really tough days. I know this doesn't take care of everything that might be going wrong, but it'll give you some room to breathe. Best wishes.

I really like this idea. Are there any suggestions as to how one should react based on where it falls. Obviously ignore for nos but if yes on 10 months what should I do? Thank you again, gaining perspective always pulls me out of the whole for a time. Added you.

It really depends on what it is. Losing a job is different from losing a car.

Don't be afraid to ask for help, just make sure you're helping yourself in some capacity. If you do ask for help, consider keeping it succinct. "I'm in a hard place right now. My car needs a new transmission. I've taken up extra shifts, my roommate is helping me get to work most days, but I really need a ride on Wednesday. Is there any way you can help?"

Sorry I can't be any more vague :-(

I hope things work out for you.

I appreciate it either way. I reached out about a month ago and was shocked when this sweet lady met us up at Walmart and bought us $80 of all sorts of groceries, rather than the $20 worth of meat and bread we had reached out for. There's some great people willing to help, I just don't want to make anyone else's life hard in the process!

She did an amazing thing. Realize that worth isn't always measured in dollars, and set out to put worth in the lives others as much as you can.

I'm gonna hijack this comment too, I think by now you've understand that what you are suffering is hindering your life decides to move on. That is great, you are looking for solutions. Take a day in its stride. Before you know it days past by so quickly. If we mostly immerse ourselves into bad thoughts or a sad environment, our day feels like years, our nights feels like eternity. A step at a time, a step forward every time. Cheerios, Cruse~ :D

Sorry to hear about your brother, just remember that there are people out there that care about what you're going through and can help you. It's good that you're reaching out, the kindness of people is here for you. I hope you'll settle into a nice job soon :). As for the writing/blogging, definitely ask yourself what do you want to write, and do just that. Maybe even brainstorm ideas of things you want to talk about. Make writing it tangible by organising your day and setting a goal :). Good luck and take it easy my friend ๐Ÿ€

I'm really sorry to hear about losing your brother, randanicole. Christmas can't be easy now (not like it ever was). Just know that as long as he's in your heart he'll never be truly gone.

When it comes to writing the only advice is to keep writing, doesn't matter what it is, just keep going. I wish I was better at following my own advice though.
