If you're new to trading, you should stick to trading stuff that both parties can put into the Steam trading window.

Trading with someone who has a decent amount of rep is usually a lot safer. Have a look at Steamrep too and use your judgment.

If a deal sounds fishy to you, and the other party will not go first, it's perfecly ok to back out of it.

Middle men

If it's too good to be true, it's not true. If it smells fishy, stay away.

Just bought CD KEY today, I used high repped middle man who I know, went smoother than baby oil.

People may say to you to not trade with CD-keys, but they're cheap as fuck. Try to avoid that, but when you can't... just be careful.

Always use protection and sanitize prior to activities.
