No, you need to edit your profile. In the privacy settings, you can disable confirmation emails. (Same place you set your inventory as private/public)

But in order to disable the email verification thing, you have to verify that you want to disable it BY email, lol.

If you're adamant on not using Gmail for whatever reason, there's also Yahoo mail that's been reported to work correctly in this thread.

Or you could simply disable email confirmations until it gets solved.

Just found a solution, I have a @hotmail.it, and I went to the last mail I got from Steam (3 days ago) and added the sender to my contacts, now I seem to get mails again.

I wasn't getting the emails either, I went in to change the option to get emails from your profile-privacy_settings section and after making some changes and saving the emails started coming. And I am using a hotmail email address. So I'm not sure it was a Live/hotmail/outlook problem but something just screwed up with the setting in Steam. Making any change in the privacy_settings and saving it might just fix your problem.

I learned about changing this setting from watching this video: http://youtu.be/khWhARhVSUY

Bump because it happens again, today traded 3 times it was always coming late, now it never comes, Valve is screwing trades lately a lot.

To the ones who finally got the confirmation e-mails: did you have to resend the offers?
