And what do you know? There are people, who do have serious issues this game might have helped ease, but fuck them, right. :D

The benefits are outweighed by the safety hazards it creates.

True. But we both know there will be many adults who don't take care. And kids will be kids.

I play primarily when walking to/from work or when visiting my parents and even though I vary my routes there's minimal danger as I've been walking those routes for nearly thirty years now. Sure some nutjob could mount the pavement and run me down but that's not always a situation that will be prevented by watching where I'm going. I'm tall and heavily built so at least in my hometown I've I'm walking through the park at night I'm more likely to be taken for a mugger and avoided than actually getting mugged.

Basically, the majority of those doing themselves an injury playing this probably would have paid no attention and injured themselves anyway. This week they'll blame Pokémon, next week they'll blame whatever new thing comes along instead.

Tip 97# wait till they release more stuff to check if it becomes pay to win(master balls/legendary pokemons).
Tip 98# better avoid it and play other older and better pokemon games or hack roms for new adventures.
Tip 99# just wait for pokemon Sun/Moon.

That's something that got people banned in their previous game, Ingress. Chances are that they'll start banning people for it in Pokemon Go as well, once they've got the more serious issues under control.

"As one player said, it's only a soft ban and the inability to effectively play the game only lasts for a couple of hours."
"Polygon has reached out to Niantic about the soft bans players caught cheating have been given and whether or
not the severity of those punishments will increase as updates to the game are rolled out."

Thought so ... + doubt they can detect your GPS activity if you
use it carefully, but whats the point anyway its just Pokemon.

My GPS is so derpy it keeps making me "walk" circles around my house.

I'm hatching eggs slowly while sitting on my lardy-tardy ass.

It only does like 0.3KM an hour, though.

If you're referring to the "footprint tracking" it's been broke for days. You need to walk more than 0.3km an hour then. I walked 10km with the dog the other day other ~3 hours and it tracked it all fine.

No. I'm referring to your character on the road.

My character walks around the neighbourhood even when i'm just sitting in my chair.

  • first evolve ur pokemon then power it up.Some evolved pokemons tend to have s#!ty moves ,so if thats ur case save ur candies for other pokemons
  • When u want to place a pokemon in a gym, dont choose the one highest on cp, but the one that its type is lacking from the gym.For example there are already a charmander and a geodude, both of which are weak towards water type moves. In that case, place an electric type pokemon.
  • If your home is near a pokestop and u can access it without walking, dont get excited and start spamming the all the time while u are low lvl.If u do so, there will be no storage on ur bag int he future for better items,as u lvl up preety much my case, now i cant take more potions, berries and other stuff

hope i helped :3

Protip: buy a Nintendo 2DS / 3DS, or even an old Nintendo DS / DSi, and play ACTUAL Pokémon games.

I-I'm not being resentful just because my phone don't support it, I-I swear... F--k you Samsung!

Try side loading it. I've had to do that for a few people when the play store claims there device isn't supported and it's worked fine. You also aren't forced to run the latest version. I sideloaded before the official UK launch and was able to keep playing just fine after launch even though there had been an update.

EDIT: Unless of course your phone is outright missing specific features that are needed in which case you're pretty much stuck.

My phone has Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, I tried sideloading the leaked APK anyway, but it didn't even start the install process.
However, I found some unofficial ports on Cyanogenmod's forum, based on CM11 (Android 4.4), CM12.1 (Android 5.1) AND CM13 (Android 6.0).
So far, the Kitkat-based ROM seems to be the most stable one, I'll give it a try after figuring how to import the Steam Guard token into WinAuth without root permissions.

Play a better game. Pokemon Go is boring as fuck. The Gameboy games were a lot better. I don't even like Pokemon anymore, but if you're going to play it might as well play the superior games. Pokemon Go has the depth of a puddle.

The Game Boy games are actual games, Pokémon GO... not so much.
Even after almost 17 years, 4 generations of consoles, and 6 generations of Pokémon games, playing Pokémon Red is still a pleasure (although I have to use emulators, as my old Game Boy Color broke a long time ago).

I really liked the HD remakes for the old Gameboy color games. Fire Red and Leaf Green. Those were my favs.

I quit playing the games after Emerald. I just got tired and lost interest in Pokemon. I don't even know hardly any of the Newer Pokemon after the 3'rd Generation lol.

Indeed, there're so many Pokémon now, that keeping up is becoming difficult.
721 right now, with new main games scheduled to release this November, so that number will surely grow over 800...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yeah, that's the part of the reason I got tired of it. They just kept pumping out new Pokemon and I thought the TV show was getting lame. I had already played the games I enjoyed to death a hundred times as a kid and teen so I just moved on.

To be fair, once they implement trading and player-battles and fix the bugs, it's gonna be a far better game than it is right now.

I know they're actively working on the trading system,
don't know about the battles but I can't imagine it's gonna be too long since gymbattles already work fine.

But besides that,
it's not like any games on the phone are full of depth,
and if they do then i'd rather play them on a bigscreen PC.
