Can you get banned in CS GO for a lucky shot?
Basically this, I wouldn't worry about it.
To add to this, in overwatch a number of random rounds / scenes of you playing will be shown and from those clips there are other "experienced" players that will judge from what they see. If all of them or at least a great deal of them call it hacks you'd be banned (not VAC banned just from competitive). The other thing is that the clips will be random so there is a chance they don't see that (if I'm not mistaken).

I'm pretty sure some people will want you banned in CS:GO for a lucky shot. I would hope that logic and common sense will prevail.

If you are very unlucky you can get Overwatch ban, IF you are VERY VEY unlucky. But if you do it's not like VAC ban, you get a time limit, so it's not permanent, you can comeback to the game in the same account. But don't worry, to get that kind of ban you need 4 or 5 lucky shots like that one in one match.

I think you have to be reported 10 times before an overwatcj case gets made. Can someone verify?

Overwatch cases are created after someone has had a sudden surge of reports made on them or a constant rate of reports made on them. I think I heard that in a jackfrags video.

This isnt true though, it was just assumption by players that there was a surge/threshold limit to reports that initiated overwatch. Valve does not discuss how VAC or Overwatch mechanically functions so that people can't try and game the system somehow, but they have recently said that amount of reports in a certain period was not at all how Overwatch works.
Meaning for the OP that just because all 5 of the enemy team reported you that game doesn't mean shit for Overwatch. You should be fine so long as the rest of that match isn't also full of miraculous shots. Nice noscope flick btw.

They get false reports all the time. In my last game Combat Arms I WAS A GOD OF DESTRUCTION and would spray and pray with SMGs which would almost always land a headshot and 100s maybe 1000s(I play a lot and have no life when not in college during summer break, and winter break) of players reported me but never got banned.

I hope not, it's easily a lucky shot. He was in a place where it's so easy to get killed from. He shot at you first, but didn't shoot very well. You would have died if he shot better. That was just a good reaction from you. I'd hope the overwatchers aren't dumb.

Yeah! If you were hacking, you would have shot way before that, anyways. The other team was probably just a 5-man group of friends that weren't the brightest.

Nope.
I've gotten even luckier shots. Like 3 AK headshots through smoke, no scope with a scout at a distance and landed a headshot etc.

You can get banned for lucky shots if enough overwatchers agree that you're a hacker!
HOWEVER, you can't get banned permanently from overwatch, only from VAC, and if you get banned from dumb overwatchers you can probably just contact steam support and be fine.

that's not true, from what i saw on the overwatch youtube videos from sparkles and nick bunyun all the reports will be checked again by valve so it doesn't matter if "enough troll overwatchers" provide fake feedback, all reports will be check again
and of course is valve and has they provide "power" they also love to take it away so i would not be surprised if there are "troll overwatchers" that are banned from overwatching

As a member of Overwatch, I wouldn't pass that as hacking. To say that someone is hacking as an Overwatch member, you have to be 100% sure.

You certainly wouldn't get banned for anything shown in the video you posted. The guy was on your screen and you had plenty of time to notice him before you aimed at him. It was just a quick reaction shot after he startled you. Happens all the time.
After playing gungame for 10 years in CSS I have had some crazy shots where I spun around and barely even saw the person on my screen, wasn't even sure if it was a person, but i clicked anyway just incase and ended up getting a headshot. If you keep your mouse sensitivity the same for a long time you will get to the point where you can get some crazy lucky reflex shots that make you yourself feel like you had hacks for just that one shot. If you did end up getting into overwatch, they should base there opinion on the entire demo and not just 1 lucky shot. You have nothing to worry about.

being reported for nonscop kill? huhuuh
on wut rates are you playing

You shouldn't be. This does not happen often,i had lucky shots before,it was just this team that was ...not nice about it and said they will report me. And even if they did,as you can read, nothing can really happen
So go ahead and try it,it's really fun if you are into competitive shooters

I play at 3200 dpi and 6 in game. I'm afraid of me 180 popping kids in the head is gonna get me banned one day.

LEM. I keep trying to lower it gradually. It just doesn't feel right. I'm so used to it now.

Only if the guy who is watching your demo on overwatch is a complete moron.
There are alot of morons doing overwatch (just look at their youtube videos), but i think if someone like WarOwl does your case you will be more than fine.
Word of advice tho, don't post on CSGO Comunity hub, little kids and unmature "adults" like to say "you cheat you deserve".

I was playing some competitive games in cs go earlier and i got a really lucky shot that got me reported by the whole enemy team. It wasn't even a headshot or anything. So,is it possible to get a ban for a lucky shot if some other player sees the footage and also thinks it's a hack?
I recorded the shot afterwards and posted it on youtube (it's not monetized so if you want to take a look,i'm not posting it for the money)
