How to know if its a FAKE

It is tagged as "fake" in the bottom. I don't know why the admins wouldn't remove these giveaways but I guess they want to be liberal and let everyone enjoy themselves, after all fake giveaway makers want to make giveaways too.

You really don't. There is no way to tag a giveaway fake. Aside from some comments. And even then, comments might be wrong.

Does it show the game in the steam inventory ?

If he/she has registered only some minutes(hours,days) ago or he/she own only a few games then the giveaway might be fake,but you can't bet on that.

The thing is, people can be malicious screaming fake on every giveaway they enter just to drive people away too.

Why should I care if it's fake or not ?

If it's real, then it's real. If it's fake, then I'll be getting my points back as soon as the admins find out. Either way, I don't see the downside for treating a fake as real.

But if I treat a real as fake and don't enter, then I lose any chance at that giveaway.

Why will they not just not allow a gift unless someone has already purchased the game and it's in their gifts tab? And ontop of that if someone wins after they have started a giveaway and not given anything just ban the account?

What I want to know is:
Is there a setting to make your inventory games visible to others?
If there is, why isn't enabling it mandatory before conducting a giveaway, with fakes only being feared regarding keys?
