Weird thing with Oblivion Deluxe edition. Those of you who purchased Deluxe edition, do you have it in your library? I only have Oblivion in my library. But according to purchase history i own Deluxe edition - this - https://steamdb.info/sub/1679/apps/ If i look here https://store.steampowered.com/sub/1679/ both items have blue "in library" labels. Here Deluxe edition (english only, all DLCs) has a separate appid - this - https://steamdb.info/app/900883/ with zero packages containing this appid. If i look at it's steam page there's no green "in libraray" label. And no Deluxe edition in my library, just Oblivion with GOTY DLC. Maybe someone who has it installed could check if it has all the Deluxe content?

Yeah, it's the same for me. Little bonus weirdness: Steam Web Integration (userscript) says I don't own anything you've linked but I do.

In my library it just says Oblivion but I'm assuming the content will be there after installing it. Screw it, I'm downling it right now. ^^
The script has worked flawlessly so far so it seems reasonable it has to do with this whole issue.

Hey let us know what you find out, if it has all the deluxe content. I'm not a big expert on Bethesda games myself, so i probably wouldn't know =)

I have the Game of the Year Edition, but not the Game of the Year Deluxe Edition.

The Deluxe version is only in English.

Did you purchase Deluxe edition or just GOTY edition? My question is for those who like me purchased Deluxe edition. Do you have it in library?

I just looked into this and it's strange. In my licences it's listed as "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Deluxe".

It's all the same thing, pages have just not ever been fixed properly by Bethesda.
Deluxe comes with the same DLC I have to make it GOTY.

Edit: Yep same thing all around, I have TES Oblivion and the GOTY DLC.
Looked up the activation and......

This is what it's showing for me in licenses as well. It seems like there's a new "Deluxe" version and they just changed the listing for the one we have to Game Of The Year as the new deluxe version DLC has an English only version added on.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/900883/The_Elder_Scrolls_IV_Oblivion_Game_of_the_Year_Edition_Deluxe/

It's $5 more than the Game of the Year Edition.

Or this is like the old version, english only version and they added Deluxe DLC to GOTY edition (called GOTY DLC, not Deluxe DLC), made a new sub for it. Only way to know for sure if our version has all Deluxe content is to download and run it. What i want to know tho is there someone out there with Deluxe Edition in their library =)

I think the main game is called Oblivion Game of the Year Edition, while the Deluxe edition includes some sort of dlc. Besides these two subs, it seems there is one separated app, which is the main game, not dlc, called Deluxe edition. And this app does not include in any sub anymore. As long as you have Game of the Year Edition with dlc, I think there is no difference in game contents between two games.

Exactly. But what do you mean "anymore", did it include any subs before, like an old version? Could those who purchased it then actually have Deluxe Edition in their library?

I think it included in some subs before because there are some owners according to steamdb.

I think maybe originally it was english only Deluxe edition (900883), maybe it was purchasable, but then they wiped it and merged all the deluxe content with GOTY (appid 22300) via DLC (appid 22333) but didn't rename it properly. But when did it happen i don't know
And most importantly if that's the case could those who purchased it then actually have Deluxe Edition in their library?

Ah, yeah, the majestic database mess that only AAA publishers, with their fetish for ID hotpots, are capable of.
At least this is pretty straightforward, just check the Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion\Data folder if you have the game installed, as the downloaded content will reflect owned licenses.

Alternatively, you can check this page while logged in, and look under rgOwnedApps for the relevant IDs:

  1. 22330 - the base game's ID, still called "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", but functionally the Game of the Year edition, as the expansions have been merged into the base game;
  2. 22333 - the DLC, called "Oblivion Game of the Year DLC", but actually corresponding to the Deluxe content.

As for upgrading, they don't provide a clear direct path (as is customary for AAA publishers), but you should be able to circumvent it by buying one of their periodic TES bundles, like this one.
The DLC is "invisible" (and thus not checked for ownership), and I'm pretty sure it makes no distinction between GOTY and GOTY Deluxe, but as long as you're missing at least one game, you can buy the bundle, and get all the IDs added to your library.
Just delete one of the games if you really have to.

Thanks for pointing in the right direction. "DLCList.txt" contains the following:

This file is used by Oblivion to keep track of your downloaded content.
Please do not modify this file.

DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
Knights.esp
DLCShiveringIsles.esp
