I'm thinking about buying some games that I'm not sure are they gonna run well (I've got a rather old PC) or are they gonna be fun enough to bother. And I'm wondering will steam allow me to refund all of them in a day or will they be like: "Yo dawg you're refunding way too much, so guess what? No more refunds for you!"

Anyone had experience with refunding multiple games in a short period of time?

You totally can so go crazy!
You can't, there's a limit. So either take a risk or don't buy at all.
I don't know.

I always check videos and read reviews before buying something. But sometimes I still end up getting disappointed with the game, or the game runs like shit even though system requirements say I should be fine.

So if you're unlucky to want bunch of games that don't work on your pc, and want to refund them it counts as abuse?

Sounds like Steam Support to me.

You should be able to refund everything, since there shouldn't be a limit, but this almost sounds like abusing the system if you just wanna try out everything. Normally stores wouldn't care if you'd return stuff in a 2 week period, at least in Germany, but you know Steam. I wouldn't try it and just make some research and watch some gameplay videos if you're unsure about buying something. Like normal people do.

You're asking for a refund ban.

easier to pirate them and test how they run. personally i'd save refunds only for mistakes.

I can't find a way to "mistake" purchase something, you need to confirm, re-login, confirm again, check, confirm again (that is with Steam Wallet, which is the cheap way).
I asked for a refund because I didn't expect One Finger Death Punch to have such a Flash game gameplay... Keep those games in Miniclip, please...(And stop giving them 99% positive reviews...) Edit: Android has a free version, I don't know how official that is, but it suits a phone more nicely.

Shit happens. My friend wanted to buy one copy of one game but steam acted up and he ended up with 4 copies instead lol. He was too lazy to ask for a refund though so he just gave away the extra copies.

If a game is good and fun then it deserves a spot on steam and it deserves the right to ask for money. Unfortunately a lot of really shitty games, mostly mobile ports end up on steam. However OFDP seems like a pretty good and fun game though, heck even TotalBiscuit enjoyed it a great deal.

see? that's a mistake you made for not checking the gameplay, so you could refund.
now, if I KNOW my pc won't probably handle a game, then why should i go the refund route when it's much safer and easier to DL a game and test it?

Well, I said it many times on this forum/discussions. I started actually buying games about a year ago, but most of the games I enjoyed, I buyed in this year. And this is only the beginning. I finished Skyrim pirated, but I then bought it, I see nothing wrong in this, especially considering the culture in my country which is 100% against buying games and people like me or an uncle of mine who REFUSE (it's hard not to) to pirate software are seen as freaks. But I can't avoid pirating TV shows and movies, since half of them are not available in my country or are just not worth a movie ticket price to see something in the living room on DVD quality..

I think you can get banned for suggesting what you suggested so I'd suggest you edit or delete your post. But yeah that was always a good option and I guess I'll have to.

I was just hoping I could avoid downloading the game twice in case I end up liking it and it runs well since my download speed is crap.

you can't even mention piracy in the steam forums, it's ok here.

if you request many refunds you'll get this message: "You’ve requested a bunch of refunds recently. Please keep in mind that refunds are not a method for trying out games. If we think the refund system is being misused we'll decline to grant future refunds."
So I assume there is a limit, therefore use it wisely and think twice what you are buying.
