First of all they are great games , second there are characters and stories which go throughout all 3 installments so you would miss a chunk of lore and DS is THE LORE game.

That said DS1 is old and requires patience to set up for proper experience. I'd say that DS1 is essential while DS2 is optional in a way.

It's the most beginner-fiendly DS in my opinion and a very enjoyable game all in all - well worth the money.
However, if you intent to ever play the first two games, you might have trouble to get into those (or at least the first game), since their visuals are inferior and the controls may feel clunky after you have experienced the 3rd game already.

If you haven't played the previous installments its fine. It'll actually make it feel more challenging. There will be subtle references you won't get, but don't worry. They are non-important and subtle. So buy the game, fight your way through this dark land, and most importantly: Git Gud Scrub.

Play DS1 first and see if you like it, it goes on sale for $5 frequently. Do not play DS2, made by different people, and it sucks

DS3 is supposed to be a return to form and more like DS1, so if you like DS1, DS3 is the next logical step, the complete edition is coming out soon

Dark Souls is not a game for everyone. If you haven't played the older episodes, there is quite a high chance you won't like it at all. I suggest to try the game first.

It's really hard to tell. I personally think Dark Souls 1 is the best, but then again, the sequels evened out some kinks and made improvements. On the other hand, Dark Souls 3 is really hard if you are a newcomer. And it's easiy if you are a veteran, because you have played the games before, so you know what to expect. I'd say grab the one you want, in the end every DS game is a trial by fire ^^

It was pretty fun for me so far ,but my video card and CPU are too bad for this game, but still can run tho, also i stuck at the loading screen after i traveled to high wall of lothric : (
