I guess they wanted to say that you shouldn't crush the drive or put something heavy on top of it, I don't think anybody is going to put it in the "vulnerable to squeeze place" that comes to mind, but who knows, maybe that's a fetish for someone.

I recently bought an external DVD drive and it came with an instruction booklet. There's no question that the English instructions were translated from another language, but even so, I was able to understand almost everything.
