Pleasant tune :)
I wonder who wrote it. It's credited to Soniau on Pond5, but this other one... is very familiar and I think it is stolen.
Edit: D'oh. I do recognize that other tune, but from the game 10,000,000 which used stock music.

One of my all time favorites.

That sounds like it'd fit right in to a Sierra title.

Aha, Treasure Master. Did you know somebody recently unlocked the elusive second bonus level?
Didn't know Virt was behind the Mighty Switch Force OST!

Has anyone played DX-Ball 2? There were some catchy ModTracker tunes in the soundtrack.
Sooooo nostalgic.

Wow. I wouldn't expect many PC games, especially one that late to use MOD. Beats MIDI for sure. I quite dig Beatwave.

Does PPPPPP count?
And additional music he never added on the playlist Piercing the Sky, Paced Energy.

It has been a while since I played VVVVVV. I forgot how great its soundtrack is :)
Didn't know about the additional tracks either!

here some classics
Jochen Hippel - Astaroth
Rob Hubbard - Delta
Jeroen Tel - Cybernoid
Steve Turner - Alleykat
Too many to choose...

I had to stop myself too, haha. Astaroth and Cybernoid are quite good. Makes me wish my C64's SID wasn't blown (still seems to function but it's almost inaudible, like an amp in the IC got blown).

Hmm... does that count? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64LlqaiJqTc
If yes, check the whole soundtrack. I love how every song have it's battle version https://benprunty.bandcamp.com/album/ftl

FTL is a great game indeed, and the soundtrack provides a wonderful atmosphere. Strictly speaking the game uses Ogg Vorbis, but oh well :)

Chipzel did the music for Super Hexagon, and I think her stuff is pretty cool.
My favorite older video game music probably comes from Final Fantasy Legend III (AKA SaGa 3). The best tracks (some mislabeled on youtube) IMO are the Talon theme (labled "Field Theme 02" on the playlist), Dion's Theme (labeled "The Talon") and the Xagor battle theme.
As for making chiptunes, I have no knowledge of that stuff whatsoever.

Damn right, I played through Saga 3 years ago but still come back to the music every so often. Dion's theme is definitely my favorite, but this track makes a close second.

Super Hexagon Theme
Cave Story Theme
VVVVVV - Pushing Onwards
VVVVVV - Passion For Exploring
VVVVVV - Positive Force
I don't think that these count since they're more electro than anything else, but I like them so heck:
AdhesiveWombat - 8 Bit Adventure
AdhesiveWombat - Chodge Darger

Does anyone have any favorite modules (it/mod/sid/xm/etc) or just ones that you particularly enjoy?
For anyone who's confused and just came here for the giveaway, here's one you might recognize from its inclusion in a popular Space Jam mashup.
Here's some I enjoy in no particular order:
Virt - Lick the Alphabet (Mod Archive)
Amazing upbeat tune. Virt, aka Jake Kaufman, later went on to do the soundtrack to Shovel Knight.
Jeroen Tel - Stranglehold (Mod Archive)
A bit eerie, but mellow tune. A fun fact is that it's composed entirely from a 440Hz sine wave.
Poldi - Chameleon (Mod Archive)
Not the kind of sound you'd generally expect from a module. This uses lots of large samples instead of instrument samples.
Lamb - Setting Sun (Mod Archive)
Nice tune with a unique music box quality to it.
6581 - My Cop Car (Mod Archive)
Had to throw in a more traditional one :)
I could go on, but I'm here to hear yours!
