I'm a sucker for story rich war/ military shooting games. Played them since young, think my first title was battlefield bad company.
Completed many COD title as well. Now I'm starting to try and play some titles that I have not tried before for the nostalgia.
Currently on Spec Ops: The Line. Next in queue should be Wolfenstein The Old Blood.

gibs here lvl1+

Have you played Wolfenstein: New Order? I recommend playing that first, even though Old Blood is meant to be a prequel.

You definitely need to check out Arma 3, and the rest of the series. The storyline(s) is pretty good, and in A3, the workshop mods and mission are pretty much endless. I bought it intending to play the campaign (I had already watched some of it previous to purchase), have sunk over 600 hours into it, and have not even touched the campaign(s).

Also, consider Bioshock Infinite. If you don't mind shooting arrows instead of bullets, try out Mount & Blade: Warband.

yeah saw some gameplay 'bout Arma 3 in the past and tbh it looks quite solid. Might give it a shot depends whether i'm able to clear my backlogs. haha.

yeah, bioshock. waiting for the bundle (Bioshock Collection).

yeah i'm able to activate it from GMG.
I might hold on awhile first since I have spent way too much during the previous sales.
And also the mountainous backlog to clear.

It is a very enjoyable game, in my experience. I really enjoy the SP missions B.R.S.E. by gtaboncer (Steam workshop), Bounty Hunter (Malden) by grandelemental, and Pilgrimage (armaholics), as well as the MP mission KOTH. I love the MP mod PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLE ROYALE (the successor and far superior to PUBG--it is better in every way vs PUBG).

I see. Will take that in mind.
I enjoy PUBG sometimes as sometimes is annoying to have to start all over again collecting stuff, however i think thats part of whats fun.

In Arma 3's BR everyone starts with the same thing--a set of clothes and (similar to PUBG) picks up stuff scattered all over. No-one has an advantage from a previous match (and thus no one has a disadvantage)--all are equal.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Looking at the gameplay and review, not sure whether to get it even when it's on sale.

It's likely that you won't have buy it at all, Homefront has been given away for free on couple occasions in the past so if (or when) that happens again you wouldn't lose anything by adding it to library then. ;)

not yet. I actually wanted to pick up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon® Wildlands but after seeing the gameplay, i realized that playing co-op on Wildlands is way more fun. but i have no friends. lol

I was fond of Tom Clancy's titles way back. played Splinter Cell back then.

Wildlands is still enjoyable in Single Player. AI, both freindlies and enemies can be a bit wonky sometimes but nothing game-breaking.

Haven't played it yet, so I can't tell you if fps part is good enough, but System Shock might be worth trying.

My favourite military shooter is red orchestra 2 but keep in mind its a realistic mp shooter.
I can also suggest sniper elite series, insurgency, day of infamy, metal gear solid v, splinter cell blacklist, binary domain and homefront the revolution.

Recommend the Delta Force series, Brothers in arms if you like WW2 tactical shooters, or my personal favourite game of all time, Hidden and Dangerous 2. How old or new the games you are searching for btw?

I just finished the trial for The Division and it fits your description well. You're part of some kind of military high tech division and you have to clean up the city of looters, killers, terrorists etc. It has impressive graphics, it runs well, the shooting is satisfying and the story might be good? I don't know yet, it's intriguing at least, from what I played. It was quite fun I'll grab it next sale for 5 bucks. Try the trial if you're interested, it takes 6 hours or until you reach level 8, the progress is saved in case you buy the full game.

Insurgency: Sandstorm, is the best Militar FPS online shooter. Great sound and effects.
Another great FPS online is Risings Storm 2.
For single Player FPS, Metro Exodus and Dying Light
Ghost Recon: Wildlands TPS militarty coop.

Swat 3 and 4 for FPS tactical single player, are old but are very good games.
