Probably the most obvious but do you use any mods? My pd used to crash exactly like that and I have HoxHud but since I deleted one file from mod the initialisation mp3 it works fine

Its because OVERGREED(OverKill) is too busy pumping out DLC that when installed you first have to get achievements to have access to the content you just paid for instead of fixing the broken game.
EDIT: One big additional gripe, OverKill said from the start that they would not use micro-transactions in game, now you get a safe from a card drop at the end of a mission and have to buy a drill(cs:go key) to open the safe.

It does crash for me after the update. Not all the time, I can pull off a few days of heisting before a sudden crash. Still too common for my liking so I'm just waiting for them to fix things now.

I actually had a crash like this yesterday (or today, I don't remember) so it could be an update. They did say there was a new "hotfix" update if I recall correctly?

If I had to guess the cause, it would be the performance optimization they did in the latest patch (before the hotfix). It's not related to any specific heists and neither seems to be my crashes. The hotfix didn't have anything that changed those optimizations either.

It could be the performance but I am not so sure since I put all my settings on the lowest quality. But that could be the reason, its just my laptop sucks lol.

It probably won't even matter what your settings are. Just something gone wrong with the optimizations Overkill made that causes the crashes for many of us. But like I said, this is just my guess.

Try going into the install folder and reinstalling anything in the _CommonRedist folder. Maybe something changed in there.

I can't get pay2 to load know . I redownload it. I check files. I google the problem .Still no fix I don't what to do I read everything on the net and steam no answer

I've heard a lot of complaints about the new patch, especially from my friends. Maybe it's just the new patch and Overkill didn't optimize it yet. Just wait for more Hotfix i guess

Did you check PD2 discussion forum? This issue is pretty widespread right now. All you can do is wait and keep checking back till it's fixed

Hello, after last upgrade of PD2 me and my friends getting crashes of this game. It doesn't give any error message, just lag, turn game off and that's all. Are you having same problems? Thank you for all your answers, it will help me a lot.
